Yo anodise do give us feedback on how the sus goes.. Prob after few weeks of ride. Kinda keen to install but got 1 fjr from clockwork guys say his koyak after few weeks.. So for me, thinking to install higher spring rate is likely than the progressive one.. Wilbers came to mine... now just waiting for your feedback...

Anyway, any u strommers blow ur rectifier and stator coil b4?? Mine did.. Farking hell... Cost me 700.. read from VSRI some 05 models had this problem.. Make matter worst, stupid suzuki agent didn't keep stock even a single coil...So I'd to make do with a TL1000 coil... It did look identical but with white insulation than the stock(Will post a pic)... Use for a day.. hopefully no prblem.. Oh well. Now re-coiling my old one at jalan besar for spare so of any u guys need it urgently, we got back up...

Fyi, if u find that your batt dead after travelling, or not charging , most prob this the case...

i just changed my coil a few weeks back....it's 298 from eversuccess for post K4 model..rectifier is about 200....how come cost u till 700...

u change at agent...?

Eversuccess??? Oh man.. I tot they bring in yamaha and honda stuff... I support the shop... ****... The bike was repaired at HKL coz it broke down there when i wanna buy some oil... 700 bucks for TL1000 coil, rectifier, Maintenance free batt, gasket, free helmet and shirt.. hahah.. HKL tried to call agent, supplier and even MotorWorld if the have the coil but nothing.. Surprisingly their despatch also try to source for it til they found that TL's look compatible.. That's when we try to 'go" for it...

Al-simmons- If buy from eversuccess, where do u go to install e item or do u install on ur own? Any shop recommendation to service a v-strom?

i did mine at mah motorsport....the lane off dunlop street..

most of the parts i buy from eversuccess.....

things like knn airfilter...oil filter...battery...rectifier...coil..wheel bearings...cone bearings...

i'm used to buying parts on my own and when changing oil or tyre....will do the rest of the servicing...

even sometimes change oil also do myself if i have the time....

chewbakka >>> only 2 shops bring in suzuki parts....Eversuccess and KS Motor...

but KS motor looks a little bit like a run down shop....i rather buy from eversuccess...the boss there very friendly and will try to help u get the parts or at least direct u where to get if they don't have it....

thanks cheekoon for leading the vstrommers into and out of endau rompin selai.

it was a tough ride over gravel, mud and potholes.

the campsite was beautifully located along the river. we planned to camp under the starry sky, listening to the sound of jungle and music of the water, cooking our instant noodle, sipping coffee in the nite, blowing pipes and cigars into the wee hours. nevertheless, we decided to return with more bikers in future.

a total of 365km, with around 30km (to and fro) of hard ride. it took us 9 hours to complete the ride (minus all the rest hours). we lowered our suspension to the max. the mud road after the rain was never for the faint-hearted. the road became soft and slippery. the mud stuck onto the wheels, jammed up to the mud guard. the slippery mud road made it difficult to spin our tyres, our pace was retarded. we dropped our bikes (only the wee, lucky for the vee) a couple of times. it's gear 1 and 2 most of the times.

the confidence on the vstrom was built and thrashed on the same day, over the same road.

unforgiving roads, unforgettable experience. :thumb:

I juz go slow n be xtra careful. Use my both legs to support if feel like falling or whenever bike fish-tailing. Other useful tip is DO NOT brake hard.
