Yo people,

I just changed my E.O to Belray V-twin. Feeling of vibration and smoothness has improved a lot. Its rating 10w50...

Worth to give it a try. I wonder there is any other E.O done speifically for V-twins?

How much ah? Seen this brand before but have nvr try.

Pricing ah.. better go check from Shops...

Ask for BelRay V-twin

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/ProductImages/300/2007_Bel-Ray_V-Twin_Motor_Oil_--.jpg

Not sure the actual retailing price.

Mine is for evaluation purposes so discounted price

was using the AGip oil.. CMI for V-twin....

For my frens who used on their FJR was good. Cos they need 10w60.. For our bike too thin....

Now 650 18.5K OTR leh

1000 i dono liao.... 22K?

Yeah - last month checked on a new 650cc at Looi's and was quoted 18.5K OTR. Only two blue and one black models left in stock.

Btw, what are the components when they say OTR?

- Bike machine price?

- COE?

- GST?

If I take a loan, will it be based on OTR?

(ok, i know this is newbie qns coz its been many years since I bought a new bike :p)

If Mr Lee from Loois quoted u OTR price, rest assured it's inclusive of everything above incl insureance, 6mth rd tax, IU (some shops excl this). It simply means there's no hidden cost. What he quoted is wat u r goin to pay.

I'm also looking to get a V-strom but don't really know the pros n cons of the 650cc n 1000cc model. So what is the interest rate at Looi's motor?

Bro.. u might wanna read up on the whole of the thread...

alternatively

http://11109.rapidforum.com/

http://www.advrider.com/forums/index.php?

can read up 1st

Rather the 1st question is standard.... .Why?

1) Why wanna change from ur current?

2) Why Strom came into ur mind the pros and cons?

3) Why u think strom will benefit you?

Pertaining of aftermarket stuff. Both are really quite close

Between 650 & 1000

think we only state the diff here

1)Weight (15 +/- KG) also equates to the agility of handling

2) 1 vs 2 exhaust

3) FC talking bout new one 25++km/L vs 19+km/L

4) Rd Tax & insurance

5) Seat Height 2" diff

Can you tell the which is 650 and 1000?

Ok thats bout all that i can recall right now. What else to add on? Old birds please

wow anodise57,thanks for the precious information.I've been riding all sorts of bikes but now intending to settle for a tourer and I fell love at 1st sight when i saw a V-strom 1000cc on the streets. And I have this spine problem now,so riding up north on a sports can kill.I'll read up and then consult u again if there's any major problem ok?Thanks for spoon feeding me...hahaha (btw,i can't really differentiate both the bikes....hmm...the right is 650?

After reading,I think I'll settle for the wee strom as my next bike if everything permits. So i guess the Suzuki owners frequent Looi's motor for their goods?Pardon me as I've not owned a Suzuki before.

Hey.. Me too.. I had a bad sprain that caused my Disc got L4 compressed. End up cannot bend too much. So after testing a Maxi Scooter (tend to slouch after a while) and found this babie! Dual Purpose with full upright position. Cant ask for anything more. After riding with fairing. I cannot take wind blast like younger days anymore too.

S4=> Full naked. Lotsa things can mod... no fairing. .Eat wind like nobody business

Blackbird => Shiok @ NSHW. Local jialat. windshield cuts wind SWEETly.

Therefore this halfnaked workhorse that can cut wind + FC of a S4 (refering to wee) became my natural choice.

Welcome.... I guess its becos only Loois imports them in. Not even Guan Hoe has them. Servicing wise.. there are alternatives...:thumb:

How I wish I can get it immediately but i have to sell off my van before I can commit. Have another car and my son to worry about. Furthermore times are bad.

Anodise57, precisely the fact that I've considered before thinking of the Vee/Wee. I think we fall into the same category..."brokeback" rider...LOL
