currently have a good offer for a fjr.

 

letting go my vstrom650 k4, regn no. fy2388r at a good price at $9,800.

 

comes with:

 

1. wider, taller windshield (original windshield also come with it);

 

2. african twin handler bar;

 

3. bar riser;

 

4. scottoiler;

 

5. main stand;

 

6. crash bar;

 

7. white head lamp (original head lamp also come with it);

 

8. givi top box (old but useable);

 

9. small wing mirror (to avoid hitting others' mirror, original mirror also come with it);

 

newly installed:

 

10. 650 hand guard ($104);

 

11. ohlins shock absorber ($1,500);

 

12. rear brake pad ($20);

 

13. clutch pad ($160);

 

14. semi syn engine oil ($45);

 

15. clutch cable as spare ($50)

 

offer lasts for 1 week for a price of $9,800. after that i will trade in with southern motor with a used fjr and you may have to pay more to get it.

 

with the same price, you can take up a loan from southern motor (with $2k deposit) for an interest rate of 6%.

Hmm...yeah its actually a strom... read through and kawasaki actually bought it over from suzuki....wonder y they dont just make their own....or at least make it look different......

when suzuki first launched the vee in europe, kawasaki saw the potential market for the usa market under the kawa badge (of course they bought the licence from suzuki to produce the same bike. trust it is cheaper to do the same then to come up with something totally new.)

 

but didn't know that the vstrom became so popular and sellable to the americans in a short span of time.

 

they dropped the idea shortly.

 

more are picking up the wee than the vee for reasons they know why.

Anyway i got a fren who might be interested in ur bike...Anyway he plan to buy probably end of year...but i think i want to sycho him buy from u lah...cause i think its a good deal...hope he have the money ready though hehe..

yes. all. if there isn't any ready buyer.

 

you may wish to buy from southern motor later.

 

reason: i hope the new owner of the wee would have all the benefits of the accessories.

 

however, if southern motor would strip the accessories and sell separately, then i hav no say...

 

if your friend is getting from southern motor later, be prepared to pay way more than 10k with a high chance without valuable accessories.

have u tried Loois? Cos Vstrom comes from there, there are good deals from Mr Lee?

i got a qn for scott oiler users.... how long does ur chain/sprockets last b4 replacing a new one? i installed mine when i first got my bike n stock sprockets/chains looks pretty good aft 50+k...

normally aavg 2.5 to 3 yrs .....

which almost equates to wat u have.... .assuming per yr for a big cow is 20K km avg...

i thot you replace your chain when it's worn (or it's time to replace). the scottoiler only lubricates the chain and sprocket and make your bike work smoothly (less noise may be). it does prolong the chain lifespan but it still will subject to wear and tear.

 

imho, nothing lasts.

try to see it in the other perspective. the new owner will get to enjoy the brand new ohlins shock absorber at no extra costs. and try to imagine you are the new owner.
