i never have good thoughs of bike alarm.

1st it may drain ur battery

2nd the distance stated on the box or manual it only applies to flat plains only, without wall or any other obstruction.

i think using a disc lock alarm is better like 'xena'

http://www.xenasecurity.com/home/current/lock/

chong aik is the agent selling this in singapore.

I'm using the Xena alarm. Let u guys play with it when I have a change to meet up.

and is the touratech radiator and oilcooler guard able to fit all years of Vee?

Will the 08 fit an 03? :p

Hi Barracuda and Aerosmith;

I did a check on the touratech website and the conclusion I get is the radiator is only suitable for the 1K fits 02-08 models... :thumb:

ALERT

Guys I went to Ex Equip just now...I need to find what engine guard u all using...some might not be able to use the slider due to your engine guard

At the moment we are considering making the slider at the main frame...

Those using Hepco guard on Vee might not be an issue...as per al-simmon setup

but those on givi...

http://www.twistedthrottle.com/ezimagecatalogue/catalogue/variations/3754-425x350.jpg

Base on the pics above...seem like that its not possible to mount the slider...:sian:

Those on givi can u confirm this?

Another issue is Wee

I think all u engine guard mounting cut across the main frame bolt rite?

if that is so then it might not be able to mount too...

As im on reservist now...there might be some delay for this mass order...

For the interested party

THose with guards possible to come down to eq extreme personally this week?

let them have a look and they might able to customize accordingly....

Guys, I wanted to post this update yesterday but I was too tired.

Had went down to Equipment Extreme and met up with Wilson on Tuesday and let the boss loom at our bike setup. When Khai came over the other time, his bike setup had no crash bar. Seeing Khai's bike for short while (Khai came down on Sat and Tauke also admit that he was busy and glance at the V Strom and never really Look at it!), the boss had said slider size 50 would be ok for the V Storm Bike.(Man Frame). And thus, he had given us the quotation based on size 50, which is $78 for 10 bikes or lower.Size 50 is what Extreme Equipment used for Main Frame Slider. This size is used in R1, Super 4 GSR etc......

Al Simmons oh where are you? Need your input and comments on your slider if possible since you buy from other place.

I informed Tauke that one of the guys are using SV650 sliders. Tauke had informed that if it's a SV650 slider the size will be D45 by Motovation Accesorries. If we want to the sliders to protude out of the crash bar(isn't that obvious for those with crash bar set up) and obviously hitting the slider first before the fairing/crashbar,D60 will suit our bike better. We need to remember that our bike is big and tall...

It is difficult to explain in words but if you have doubt, you're welcome to go down to Equipment Extreme to let Tauke explain in better words.

As a comparisons, please take a look at Motovation Accesories.

Motovation Accs Suzuki SV650/1000/S DL650/1000 Race Frame Sliders

1) The size in which Extreme Equipment (D60) is offering is bigger than the Motovation Accs Slider(D45).

2) It will also be longer than what Motovation Accs is offering.

Refer to the 2nd reviwer, dated 1st April

3) Pricewise:

Motovation Accs: US$89.99 without shipping

Extreme Equipment: Since we shall need to use D60 Size, the price will be abt SGD 110 for bikes or more include labour, irregardless of DL 650 and Dl1k. If 1 person, it will be SGD 150.

4) No issue for the shins to hit the slider for those concern or the sliders hitting the shin when you push the bike.

DL 650 with Hepco Set up no issues now. Anyone using GIVI?If there is, please drop by to let them take a look first.

Those using other crashbar please drop by if u unsure.

I know this is a steeper price compare to earlier quotation but bear in mind that we are paying for bigger protection here. That is why I need to see if you guys are still interested. In any case, I 'm buying it the main frame Sliders.

We shall close the order by 26th of July

Main Frame Sliders, SGD 110

1) Mafitra DL650 (Hepco)

Just sharing what SV650 found out regarding hyperpro springs from motoworld

Rear Spring - $250 ($280 with installation)

Front & Rear set - $370 ($420 with installation)

Please note that only the front springs are progressive. No official quotes for front springs but I guess we all can do the maths.

Front Progressive Springs- $120? ($140? with installation)

We don't have enough volume to negotiate for MO price. So its OTOT go down to order if you are keen ya? If you have a handsome face and can get it cheaper, then let us know too :)

Anyone have a quote for wilbers front springs?

Mafitra, should be that's all.

My simple understanding is -

1. Tauke recommended us get a thicker and longer (extend further abit than the hepco guard) main frame sliders.

2. Price is 150 per person, but if can get 10 or more people, the price is 110 per person.

sorri guys....me now blur sotong....

1) khai mention to us that the earlier price for the mass order of slider from Extreme Equipment, which cost 78 bucks is incorrect. The quoted price from Extreme Equipment is SGD110, more ex tahn earlier due to bigger slider size and longer length.

2) Apart from Extreme Equipment, a local company which manufacture the sliders completely from their shop (yeap the machines are all in their shop) n import Blue Flame exhaust etc, there are also other companies which makes sliders such as Motovation Accs, Trex Racing, Volar Frame among others. Difference between them and Extreme Equipment is what ever I have mentioned above. I just take Motovation Sliders as an example to compare with the one which Extreme Equipment is offering.

3) Due to an increase in the price from SGD 78 to SGD 110 due to a wrong size, since Khai is still reservist, We shall need confirmation from you guys again if you still want to Mass order sliders from them. Otherwise, it will be SGD150 per personif we are not doing the mass order.

Does this makes it clearer for you Fatboy?

is not a big jump of price. this is due to the size of the crash bar for heco. for your model, the usual 50mm will do as no crash bar install. Crash bar comes in different shape & size, have to consider the comparsion in the event of a crash. As i have explain to Mafitra the different. it will be better if you guys can arrange to drop over at showroom so we can explain the different why some model can use 50mm but some have to use 60mm. Also the internal alum enhancement will also be reinforce.

60mm is the enhance version as most slider in the market only offer 50mm.

we can arrange a group buy, so been it is 50mm or 60mm as long its set of 10. Cheers

Hi

Need your help urgently as my bike r/r not charging properly (11.0 to 12.7 volts). Battery replaced past 7 days.

Tried to replace with Shindengen r/r but seem no shops to know this brand.

Thank you.
