Hi... Is it normal if i experience occassional backfiring when i close throttle or am i in trouble?

 

Nope just add more character to your bike!

 

What are the factors affecting the fuel consumptions? I think mine is on the lower side. i can only managed 13 per liter..

Tuning and servicing aside...! It's Dependant on the style that you ride, hard acceration and traveling speed

 

the average in town should be expecting 16-19 km

 

at speed about 50km-60km/h

 

If you want better fuel try changing the counter sprocket to 17 teeth instead of the 14 teeth stock

 

But i heard you loose 20% of the torque(pickup)

Juz did my bike for minor rewiring and take out certain accessories.His price$245 only.The right person to go to esp for a strommer.

Hi guys, I'm very interested in getting a new DL650, I'm very attracted by its looks, however, I've very little knowledge of this bike's capability, comfortness, fuel consumption, price and maintainence. Can anyone enlighten me in all the above points? Thanks in advance!

I have checked with looi last week that mid april K8 650 should be in...13-14k region.

 

My only class 2 exp is TLR then st11 then stx

 

If I would to get the 650, it should be new...

 

I tot the k8 is twin spark so 4 plugs for better efficiency?

 

And a set of after market exhaust is also my top list of wants!!!

 

Not concern with that type of top as its not often that a person will hit it. fastest I have been is on my TLR..... even riding 200 continuous is tiring....the bike can take it but not the person.

 

I dun think I can live with less than 3 boxes....

13-14k is cheap sia.

get that dl650 with abs.

damages to my wee-strom:

 

1. scratch mark on the right side of the givi top box;

 

2. scratch mark on the right hand guard;

 

3. broken casing of right front signal light;

 

4. crash bar (or engine guard) bent in and touching the right side fairing;

 

5. foot rest on the front right slightly bent.

 

i rode back the bike on sunday with the above condition.

 

compare to the rider, this is one tough bike to own.

huh? what did u do to the bike? take out what accesories? the GIPRO isit??

 

nothing much,apollo advised that too many electronic accessories may affect the timing consistency of the bike.so to start with,i take out all the electronics accesories e.g. the GIPRO, alarm and power abuser.now timing a bit better.and he did the rewiring of the basics 4 me.dats all.
