Abit off-topic but ....... Today I managed to appeal success an LTA fine. $200 to $70. Happy Serangoon-Strommer! Here some tips from success story........

1)Must always remember to go LTA early in morning 8am, be first 5 in line to see the officer

2) Dress really poor.

3) Look really pathetic like you owe the whole world money and cannot afford to pay a cent.

4) Look for Officer of opposite sex.

5) Say "I reaAAAllLLly didn't know" after every sentence and look straight in officer's eye.

Officer is Indian lady, around 1.4m something. 40+ years old. UNLIKELY to buy V-Strom..........:--) hahaha...........

comes wif same double digit number plate, h&B mainstand, bmw grips, original 650 handguards, aftermarket flush signals, givi 52l top box, givi universal side racks, givi high windshield, givi crashguards.. basically fully modded.. will throw in a pair of hella 450 foglights and most imptly, customised decal..

Had a small chat wif him n he mentions u in his group of riders cos Im riding a strom too...hopefully i can join u guys n fellow strommers for a ride soon.. Im still new to the strom n im loving every moment riding it..

 

Anyway, I was thinking of raising e handlebar heights. Any advice guys? Shud i change e handlebars or just get a handlebar riser?

Welcome to the StromTroopers club Mcfizzo. For raising, u can try SW-Motech handlebar risers. Abt $70 frm M-Technik. Or for a little bit more u can just change ur handlebar to African Twin make. Provides higher n wider handling. I chose the latter.

wow. a lot of accessories man. going for 15k with all that, you quite generous leh.

 

most ppl will sell the accessories separately to lower the bike price, you may want to do same same.

 

try post on the garage forum as well. trust many looking for weestrom.

 

by the way, seeing you let go all accessories, you not going to ride oledi?

welcome to the vstrom forum.

 

rsm aka angmohkia aka uncle bernard, is a great leader when coming to biking.

 

had joined him for a few one-day trips and the recent trip to cameron highlands.

 

strongly recommend you to come and ride with him, a lot to learn from such a great man, very resourceful, easy going and fun.

 

keep track on the "one day trip outing" in the sbf forum.

 

many trips upcoming.

 

we have quite a no. of fazers (1 and 6) in our trips but only one strommer lah.

glad you enjoy the strom. they say that you need a strom to replace a strom. that speaks volume about this bike.

 

talking about handler bar. i changed mine to african twin one. lighter, slightly wider and taller. slightly better ride than the stock one.

 

the new handle bar did not change the ride significantly, but i like it cos the handle comes in gold colour. and african twin used to be my dream bike. and i am glad that my weestrom carries a part of it.
