I’ve just returned from the “Safety Talk”. To those who did not turn up, you guys missed a good thing. It was an eye opener to me. The fact that all the $6 million used for the safety publicity came from civilian sponsors was the biggest shocker to me.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrlau, and his cronies, for organising this event. Not forgetting Simon, in case you are reading this, thank you for hosting us. The sincerity you guys show to make our roads a safer and better place to commute is inspiring.

May all your experiences on the road always be pleasant.

Just got back also, nice to see a healthy turnout! (although didn't manage to put a name to all the faces... )

Anyway a big thanks to those involved in organising this event, and hope all of us can start spreading the message of Road Safety through positive peer pressure!

ya

UPZ for the effort

and also, nice informations and graphics

:giddy:

but nonetheless, 12 persons to educate the public is really mission impossible

and in case Mr simon u are reading this: come join wave riders, and be part of the "peer influence"

LOL

jus a thought... do TP have a website promoting safety awareness to road users. if they do, maybe there should be a link (permanent one like those sponsers' one) in both this forum . this will make forum users aware of such a website. and hopefully with a few of those pictures shown today posted on the website, forum users will get the message of road safety.

really like to thank mrlau and the road safety branc of TPD for organizing and hosting this session. really learn a lot today.

cheers

From a brief conversation that Simon had with a few of us during the tea-break, I gathered that the Internet is still a grey area for the authorities, and there are certain restrictions if they want to engage us here...

But MrLau can act as the unofficial/semi-official proxy and we can have a special section.. maybe a sub-section under the Rally Point?

Thanks all for the supports, was not able to talk everyone of you on that day.

Also want to thanks to the TP officers has spend much effort to prepare for the event, including the food, drinks, etc.

This is the first time, we have chance talking so closely to the authority, sharing about what they have witness and handle everyday, all the real cases, video footage and photos we were never have chance to see as civilian. Nobody know road accident better than traffic police.

This is just the begining, road safety should be part of our culture.

Thanks to the members who had contribute much in the forum about the road safety awareness, especially to Spectrum, endlessloop, quicksilver, boofeng who help in organise this event.

If you have any good suggestion, feel free to contact me, I will consolidate and relay your messages to the officer in charge.

Currently, the Traffic Police is still study about some of our suggestions, one the the suggestion is to recognise helmets which certified undert SNEIL standard etc.

Once again, thanks and ride safely on the road.

would like to thank MrLau for making this possible.

also, let me clarify something.

some of you might have heard me saying to them(tp) that tp are craps. i would like to make myself clear. as much they have emphasize on road safety, look at what they are wearing, open-face and uniforms. to think their job requires much more protection than any of us. i suggested full-face and armored to them. simon replied that he will look into this suggestion. as much as i hate them for all the fines and points i've kindly donated to them, i do hope that they adopt my suggestion and take it seriously.

frankly, he friend shouldn't be worried about getting his license revoked.

he instead should be thankful that he didn't cause any harm to himself or anybody.

and if he does gets his license revoked, be mature enough to accept it.
