Good day everyone.

Just wanna post my experience; currently in SSDC prac 5.

Personally I enrolled into all 3 Driving Centres and SSDC is definitely the best amongst them in my opinion. In terms of availability of slots, customer service, facility and the progress the best.

Alright, I enrolled into SSDC on 13 December 2016.

Need theory lesson 1 & 2 on 14 Dec 2016.

Theory lesson 3 & 4 on 18 Dec 2016.

Theory lesson 5 & 6 on 21 Dec 2016.

Theory lesson 7 on 22 Dec 2016.

Had my circuit orientation on 23 Dec 2016.

Practical 1 - 4 Jan 2017

18 Jan 2017

26 Jan 2017

1 Feb 2017 (yes I passed only on my 4th try)

Practical 2 - 5 Feb 2017

6 Feb 2017 (passed on 2nd try)

Practical 3(I) - 9 Feb 2017

12 Feb 2017 (passed on 2nd try as well)

Practical 3(II) - 13 Feb 2017

14 Feb 2017

16 Feb 2017 (well all my friends told me 3(II) will be the easiest among all the practical but I guess not)

Well after u cleared Practical 3(II) you'll be able to "unlock" circuit revision and I was lucky enough to book my circuit revision the day before my Practical 4 :)

Circuit Revision - 19 Feb 2017

Practical 4 - 20 Feb 2017 (passed within first try)

Will definitely update you guys on my progress and also do comment below on tips and tricks to clear prac 5 onwards.

Well I check at least twice or thrice every hour so throughout the day I could easily get a night slot on that same day or the next day slot... keep trying your luck you probably woll get it

Hello! It's good to plan ahead! Hmm they do provide helmet but u need to bring your home head cloth for hygiene purposes ; best to buy your own helmet since you're gonna use it one day anyway. And also get a riding gloves. Elbow and knee Guards are provided

Hi guys i'm new here. Currently at prac 2. Failed twice and going for the third time on Monday. I kept falling for the plank. Any tips ?

It's okay to fail man! I felt damn demoralised when I failed too... but don't give up! For plank, at first I had difficulties too because I kept looking down and my shoulder was stiff. Tips is be confident, let your shoulder loose and look ahead or focus on something in front

Dropping by this thread to wish you guys all the best! Don't give up and hope to see you on the road soon! Cheers :)

Yess! Finally passed my prac 2 for the 3rd time! Going to prac 3 probably next week. How are you guys doing?

Good job bro! I had my prac 5 today and failed :(

Was quite unlucky as 2 cars cut my lane abruptly causing me to fail (partly my fault since I didn't close throttle as well)

Good luck to all going to 2b lessons.

Prac 5 is indeed "strict" lesson. Remember to keep safety distance, check blind spots, do not change lane abruptly, U turn must be smooth. And you should be able to pass. I failed my prac 5 too last time as U turn not stable and I changed lane abruptly. Oh there is a killer "kerb" drawing just before turning right and back to school. I seen someone fail because they ride over it ..

Once at Prac 5 you are very soon to book your TP already

Okay guys, just an update. Finally passed lesson 5 on my third try.

Well I can't guarantee u a pass but the instructor told me you can pass lesson 5 as Long as u are able to keep a safe distance, able to u turn properly, change lane smoothly and to me the most important part is adjusting your speed to suit the road condition so as to not let the motorists behind slow down or brake

Pretty sure you can because I asked and used full face when I was learning at SSDC a year ago. Just ask the instructor next time.

When going up, throttle a bit more. A lot of people are afraid of going up fast and end up going up slow and wobbling -> higher probability of falling off

Eye point: Far ahead.

Half-clutch and throttle: Throttle until you can hear the engine but keep clutch at "slow but engaged" spot.

Going too fast: Use rear brake if going too fast or clutch in a little.

Posture: Knees gripping tank, shoulders and elbows loose, core tight. If you're nervous, you probably will have stiff shoulders and elbows, which means you won't be able to steer properly and fall off.
