wah so basically, uve never rode a bike before (other than in driving school)?

Me not so bad ah.. got my 2B in 2006... ride bike till 2010 then stop.

Got 2A in 2015 & CL2 in 2016 then bought a bike last year. I only need to be conscious about the number of fingers on the levers and to maintain right leg up... other than that the rest comes naturally

Practise a lot and prepare to fall. I took a lot of revisions, dropped bike a few times, but still pass in 1 attempt.

All in all, enjoy the lesson.

just gotten my class 2 in end 2015. In between 2A to 2 is 20 years. Never ride for 20 years. First lesson shake alot but from lesson 2 onwards steady liao. One time pass! lesson 1 ( 2x ) lesson 2 (1) lesson 3 ( 1 ) TP ( 1 ). Enjoying my touring now. One advice to you. See read below and guess.

Riding is like S#X. You will never forget. Too long never 'Do' and first time not familiar. After that ok liao. hahahhahaa

SMALLCAR, hmmmmm. i disagree alittle. its not really like SOX. because too long never do ??? hahahahhahahah/ which too long are you referring.?? anyway, in SOX, if too long never do, then you got the jitters, in bikes terms, if too long never do, you just ignore the jitters

Was in same position a couple of years ago. Can be done just that you may need to self practice a bit more as do not have own bike. Good thing is you won't have many "bad habits" to unlearn.

I guess waiting for TP for threadstarter?

this year end then only I can enroll class 2. Hmm what worries me would be lifting of the bike and timing for the courses.

Posted

Lifting heavy bikes is made easier due to the crash bar. Furthermore, you are not using your arm power to pull it up. Rather, you're using your "backside power" to push it up.

Not pull, it's push. Dropped a few times and automatically u will learn it :)

Hey man. It should be fun!

Like you, I never own bikes, but love riding. Occasionally will rent a bike just for fun. I took 2B, 2A and 2. But unlike you, I took them in back to back years, Last year just passed my class 2. So it was quite easy. And I alwa

Having not ridden bikes often on the roads, it might sound counterintuitive, but it might actually be easier to pass as we do not develop any habits which might not otherwise be acceptable in the school setting.

Also, personally I feel that the instructors in BBDC are quite good, though I have never tried the other riding schools.

Just go for it man. Good luck and have fun!

SF 848 is probably one of the more reliable bikes from Ducati, but if you're not confident riding at 80kph maybe should go with a smaller Monster instead, it's not as twitchy as the SF, is more comfortable, lighter and easier to steer.
