with this thing can i polish n buff my chrome parts to shiny again? the rpm is 160 doesnt seem too high. Compared to black&decker rtx and wizard series which can go up to 30 000 rpm.

what i mean is for metal parts that i need to put autosol on to shine kilat kilat one. i think what ur referring to is to wax polish the bike ryte?

btw thanks but can u tell us where exactly in jb is ace hardware shop? like issit in city square etc2? does the shop carry other black n decker equipment?

thanks annd all info greatly appreciated.

Yup.. I use it to wax polish my bike.. The most important factor for me is that it is battery operated as below my block, there are no power points.. There are more expensive, "real" buffing machines from Bosch, etc but they are mainly for cars as the build in pad is rather huge and all that I've seen are not battery operated.. So, "leceh" for me..

This one is small and handy.. Revolution power wise not bad.. Managed to polish my bike to a shine.. Very smooth finish too.. Beats using hand and the karate kid technique of waxing right, waxing left.. Haha..

I bought mine in KL during my vacation.. Not sure about JB but I think all Ace Hardware stores carry almost the same items.. Why not do a search in the Malaysian Business directory? If I happen to see one in JB, will let you know for sure.. :p

shahrul_azmil3:

I've not seen one in Singapore yet.. Tried HomeFix, tak ada.. NTUC superstore also tak ada.. Carefour also tak ada..

homefix diy there is the black&decker rtx-1 rotary drill - but its a corded one so u must use extension from ur home (if u at 2nd story) - costs only $169.00 and comes with 55starter bits. te bits got many types for grinding/sanding/polishing etc2. if really want the cordless one theres the dremel one which costs $212. comes with 60starter bits.

does anyone out there know if homefix employees get a discount on buying the stuff??? if 20% of 200 is like $40 saves sia. lol

im appealing to any ppl who haf friends/wives/girlfriends at homefix can help ask them?

Ala.. Kalau ada kawan pergi JB pump petrol, i ask them check it out ok..

hahah nolah.. see if they got frens or wives etc who working at homefix diy and so can get employee/staff discount.

xixy, guess what, i checked the ace hardware site and found a store in Batam! hahah.. guess one of these days i will be going down there to check it out.

for those that want to order online its available too. they ship international orders. the dremel tt costs $212 above costs only 160++ but without attachments ( but attachments are ard $3 per attachment i think can get from normal hardware shops ) but bear in mind that this is the cheapest ( and longest time ) shipping.

do check out the site , just google search ace hardware and u can find the site. they also entertain cheaper quotes for Mass Orders so those who interested maybe can start a MO for the stuff. but i guess i try go see the shops at Batam and Malaysia first to see2 the price 1st. lol
