I hope u guys can share your experience catch fishes in this thread, with the details of what baits and the spots.

Kranji Reserviour FIshing Point B ..got playground and a carpark next to it.Illegal to use live bait BUT u can't have a good catch without it.Toman,lobsters,soonhock,song fish and lucky...Crocodile also have.

 

Uses small size LIVE catfish,chicken heart(BEST)THUMBS UP MANZ...

haiyah.. been going to Punggol, sengkang(achorvale) and marina Bay.. day fishing.. only get a few small fishes.. any spot to recommend guys..

recently went to penjuru jetty(closed) to fish.. and also go to the west coast highway the bridge under there to fish.. penjuru alot catfish.. under the bridge err.. got alot bite bit no fish

The rain today ruined my fishing plan yet again...

y u all go reserviour to fish de.. ever been to penjuru jetty? it's close u go until straight inside u see the fence got one hole.. den u climb in.. den u go until the beach there u just walk walk follow the flatten grass on the ground.. can go there try.. den if low tide u walk to the jetty area there go under the jetty then go to other side of the shore den ask the person let u stand there fish loh cos it's sort of restricted x=

Where is that place? I usually go to Tanjong Rhu but looking for new spots.

dont have much luck in the saltwater around sg. salt water too much trouble , come back tired liao still need to spool out the line from reel to wash and the lures too.

I'm interested in going offshore but lacking money and afraid my light tackle can't take it.

light bottom fishing trackle that can handle well around sg water still not too costly la. 20 lb trackle to me i already feel over kill liao

Hmmm my current setup is a 2-piece 8ft with 8lb main, 20lb shock leader and size 2 hook... thinking of using a lighter poundage for my leader and use smaller hooks.

as for leader you need to see wat fish and wat kind of place you fishing at. as for 8lb main line , leader i normally go for 10lb ba. try once use my 4lb fish for kbl that weight around 800g-1kg . fight the fish like no tomorrow mate. :cheeky:

Maybe can try fishing at Lor halus?

 

I tried there once and caught a Catfish(long tail one. not the Usat), mangrove jack,a small trevally(malay call it Ikan Cermin). Plus the Marine Catfish too.

 

But the place very eerie lah...dun overnight over there lah. stay till 8pm then better go back or JENG JENG JENG!

It's because marina bay is a very snaggy area. If u go there and bring 2 kg lead also sure finish one. Lots and lots of big boulders in the waters....

Tanjong Rhu used to be my fishing playground last time. Since they start piling to close the front entrance i no more fishing there.

i went marina bay the sundial place there.. gt bite bt nt much fish.. no catch.. worst den penjuru.. btw go labrador park oso nt bad.. at nite gt big fish bt nt easy get.. my fren gt kenna bite one ultra big one.. den fight fight.. line break..
