Bike light stuck in high beam!

Hi,

No sure if this is the correct thread to post in. I went for a week's holidays and returned to find my bike's light stuck in high beam. i have it for close to 2 yrs, but no problem at all. suspect it was tempered.. but anyway, i tried all sorts of voodoos on it, it still remained in high beam. anything that i can check myself (detailed explanation needed cos im not technical)? or do i have to bring to bike shop to repair? is it offence to ride with high beam?

definitely not an offence haha. i high-beam almost all the time...

highbeam trigger / switch jammed? i get that sometimes. a good dollop of castrol red grease fixes it

but where do you apply the grease?

open up the assembly and apply the grease at the trigger contact points.
