nsr 150 and nsr sp 150 is the same..

maybe some pple address it as shorter form..

proarm bike for nsr is named as NSR-150 SP when the swing arm is NSRR-150.

diff is onli the rear arm holding the rear wheel.. proarm hav one while swing arm hav 2..

btw SP is not problematic..comparing with KR and TZM i really think it's moderate..KRR if engine touch here and there there goes ur cash need to change piston lah dis lah dat lah..TZM is even worse i see my frens burn a hole in their pocket and working day and night just to pay for maintenance and i swear tzm is way worse den SP..SP is a more robust bike and so far my bike doesn't give me much probs..i dropped it sooooo many times but still it werks fine for me..And what's more i'm using premix!!

But one thing SP is not as fast compared to TZM or KRR..But i swear itz cornering sure wins it all hands down..but the most important thing is dat u bring SP u get the chinese chix..:p well works for me..hahahaha..anyways answering to the top question i really think the maintenance is cheap compared to other racing bikes..if 300++ expensive to ya den i suggest u buy ex5..cheap!lol ;P

Saying that a certain bike is not as problematic as other bikes (those that you've never owned) is not proper..Every bike have its own fair share of problems..Maintenance depends on the user..If he/she takes good care and go for regular servicing by all means the bike will stay in good condition..If not it will have lots of breakdowns..

Saying a bike is faster in corners or straights is also not proper..Its depends on the rider..Not the bike..So before you believe every hearsay/rumours about a certain bike..Think again..Unless the person himself/herself has experience such problems with that bike (brand/model/make)..

I have tried to see things from your point of view..But no matter how hard I try..Or what I do..I just can't get my head that far up my butt..

the 5krpm - 6krpm "knocking" sound is common for every sp... cos it doesnt have much usable power during this range... if u wan smoother ride, change a bigger carburetor..

bro.. i still have a last question.. pai seh hor.. den no matter wat gear we r in for e.g me now at 2nd gear reach 5krpm den start knocking izzit normal...?

I was a NSF when I rode SP. It wasn't making my life miserable financially or anything. SP is not a "problematic" bike. At least there wasn't a bunch of recalls for it.

As long as you take care of your bike consistently, it is not going to die on you. If you buy a neglected bike, you may have to pay a bit more at the beginning to replace the worn out parts. But from there on, the cost of maintaining the bike is not high. The point is, when you replace a worn part, and your mechanic shows you that another related part needs to be changed, you should do it there and then - to save labor cost and also to prevent the old part from accelerating wear on the new part.

High FC? I could ride for 280km before reserve. Fragile? I brought it to PG many times. Only overhauled once during my 30000km of hard riding on it. Regular maintenance of the chain is required if you don't want it to slacken. That's true for any bike.

Lastly, $100 still means a lot to those who are working. If not, why do you see people queueing up for $1 Breadtalk and free milo at Carrefour, just to save a few dolloars? We spend more, but we don't spend unnecessarily.

May I also add that riding is not as "cheap" as you think. In fact, it is quite expensive with the rising fuel cost. If you don't have the money, take public. That is reality.

hello friend how ride yr SP? i never know SP milleage can go to 280? u for real or not? how come my sp can only last 164 only? teach me how u ride lei
