very cheap i think less then 5 bucks.. u can ask the shop to give u for free when u change tire.. or change to the metal 1s which are around 10 to 15 a piece at hkl ..

tot they always change it when you change tyres?? think its good to change the valve when you change tyres.. cos it may leak or dirt may accumulate in the valve...

it is a standard procedure that a tyre valve be changed whenever you change tyres...

Don't mess with old farts. Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill.

guys when i was pumping my tire today ,

 

i unscrew the cap , want to pump my tire , den i found this piece of small circular

 

rubber piece dangling inside, partially blocking the needle to pump air

 

wat is the piece of circular small rubber , can remove one or not , it was loose !

 

can anykind soul advise >

actually, it IS from your valve cap, but it doesn't serve any purpose except to keep your valve cap from either loosening on its own or from letting water in. if air is coming out because your valve is faulty, there's no way the valve cap's going to block it at those kinds of pressure. had an experience once where the rubber o-ring came loose and jammed up against the valve needle... came back to a flat tire.

thanks guys , i did a check today and indeeed it was ......

 

the rubber due to wear and tear broke fr the tire valve cap and came loose

 

hmmmm..so wat do i do ? put it back in place but it will be loose cause it broke

 

OR take it out

i junked it. it's almost unheard of for the valve cap to come off anyway, and i'd rather lose the valve cap than have a flat tire.
