6 hours will suffice with driving and traffic jams if you set off at about 6am. The route via Tapar is treacherous. Take the longer route via simpang pulai.

1. affordable (for my pocket)

2. opc better as i be riding daily (car parking at my work place, raffles place is crazy)

3. for family and baby is on the way

4. bigger storage for baby pram and such

5. no need performance / pickup for 2.0 or 3.0 L, i got enough thrills on my bike

You won't go wrong with a Honda if you want Power and or FC if that has good power:weight but you'll go wrong if you buy now because of new COE pricing is up so your used cars value will be artificially increased to match the market. Good time to sell, bad time to buy. Do you really need such a big car? How about FIT/JAZZ? Many hatchbacks can do what saloons or family cars can plus they save fuel which is the strongest factor because you are not ferrying more than 1 or 3 people most of the time.

found out Aviva gives best rate of insurance... less thand half of NTUC..

which part of SG u prefer to service ur car? if mid-west to mid area i will recommend Nam-sing in AMK Autopoint lvl 2. if live in east i will strongly recommend Foo Bro in Tampines industrial. both good old honest workshop

Seriously, go to Honda forums to check em out. HJC aka Honda Jazz Club or FJC or Honda Civic drivers club all should be using some common workshops.
