Please Top Up you petrol and park your bike / Car

behind the Esso station ... please park orderly

Meet up time at 8.30 am Sharp ..

briefing at 8.45 am ... move off at 9.00 am sharp

 

Please do not be late .... worry you will be late

go early ..... due to the numbers of bikes and cars

time will be wasted easily ....

 

Have your breakfast before the trip ....

Moving off from GP Esso to the first petrol stop

is 160km away .. have a short break than proceed

to the plantation 20km away ...

 

Estimated time to the plantation will be 11.30 am

and should be departing around 1.30 pm ...

and we hace proceed to Pagoh R&R for lunch ..

and petrol top up .....

 

Moving off from Pagoh should be around 2.30 pm

reaching coustom at around 4.00 pm ....

Please drink and bring a big bottle of water

you will not be able to eat the durain if you

dont have water to drink ......

i just bought a yellow XJR400 here in Jakarta, now I want to install a box on it. therefore I will need a bracket, what kind of bracket suitable for XJR400?

 

I prefer to use GIVI but custom bracket will do.

there is a XJR in Jakarta?!? WOW!!! (i love going to JKT but never saw XJR b4).

 

Actually, any bracket will do but do make sure that the connecting points are well fixed i.e. not loose or should not easily bounce when you push it down. it should be welded if you want the bracket to be permanent (mine is).

 

When you get a new box, the bracket Should be available too.

riding home after a long dat at work at just 70km/h along the BKE, just exited SLE going towards Bukit Panjang. I was at the left most lane and i wnted to change lane as there was this slow moving lorry in front of me. I checked the mirror and begin lane changing... what i saw next... made my heart stop for a sec.

 

A white plastic chair in the middle of the expressway and I was moving directly towards it. There were heavy traffic on both sides of me and swerving my bike will be disastrous. My instincts kicked in and i applied the brake.. but i realised it was already too late.. i let go of the brakes, braced for impact and hit the chair head-on.

 

*PRAAKK!*

 

I was lucky.

 

The chair broke into many many small pieces as my front wheel hit it with such force. I swear the pieces were flying off in all directions like the chair was made of Styrofoam. There motorists around me were too surprised as well as some pieces hit their vehicles. Some of the pieces hit me as well but it was nothing serious. I continued on my journey like nothing happened though i was a bit worried about the condition of the front of the bike. But again, i was lucky that there were no damage at all.

 

Swearing all kind of expletives to whoever dropped the chair there, I continued on my journey still with some shock and prayers that I managed to get out of this in one piece (not so lucky for the chair). Thank god that XJR bikes are strong and sturdy.. if i had hit the chair with my old 125z or RXZ... the results won't be the same.

 

What if the chair was at a different angle? will I still be here writing this down? Such thoughts.. scares me.

lucky for you, your insticts did well for you. At least, u are still 1 whole piece, no injuries other then the shock thingy...after talking to you, i feel better. Hope u get a good rest & sleep thru the night...& that fever of yours will go away in time for our little photoshoot tomorow...

We always have meet-ups on the third Sat of the month. We try to make monthly thingy, so that we get to stay in touch with each other. As u can see, the club is small with a handful of riders, but BIG at heart always!
