Last Weekend went to Cameron Highland with my working mates.

2 cars and 1 bike (me).

First time for everybody driving/riding to Cameron.

We left GP on Saturday about 9.00am.

North-South Highway all the way until after Seremban R&R (I think) where made a left turn, where the signboard say Ipoh.

We are not sure if we made the correct turn, but heck, just go.

We had lunch at Sungei Buloh R&R.

Along the way we saw several groups of Malaysian superbikes, and seemed like Kawasaki is the most popular brand there.

We exit at TAPAH (this is the old route) and proceed our journey up Cameron Highland.

Terrible, terrible road. Very narrow, sharp corners and hardly straight roads.

All the way up in 2nd and 3rd gear!

Half way up, there is a waterfall, I mean real waterfall.

It is practically next to the road.

We did not stop though and continue our way up.

Oh my wrist was aching like crazy, almost 1 hr of climbing we finally reached our hotel, Century Pines Resort at 4pm

Never ever take that route again!!.

Next day after breakfast, we started our way down, but this time we took the other route which took us to Sungei Pulai toll to North South Highway.

Ohh, this is a fabulous route.

The mountain scenery is fantastic, the roads are wider and plenty of corners but beautiful corners which you can take in 4th or 5th gear.

You guys will definitely love this route.

We reached GP at about 3pm.

If you guys planning to go there, I can now lead you guys!!!!!!

Cheers

Guys,

How about our club anniversary this year we go up Cameron Highland?

im ok .....

Maybe we can do slow ride Friday night, Saturday whole day to explore the place and the waterfall!!!!

everyone ok with this plan? Im ok if everyone is.

good idea...

But do remember, club anniversaries is for our members to ALL gather & had fun TOGETHER...

I'm keeping this option open, lets see if most want & can make this plan come true...

It is good plan:)

but lets not forget, we have our commitments ourselves. So we may need ample of planning & all that. afterall, it is our anniversary. :thumb:

Hello All!

Ok, here is the forecasted date & plans for breaking fast plans.

Since this month is fasting month for the muslims, i proposed these;

September Monthly Meet-Up dated: 5th September 09

Where to go break fast? These are places the members have suggested:

1. Pan Pacific JB ~ Buffet @ RM40 via bus/taxi @ JB (leave bikes at Woodland Old Interchange)

2. Joo Chiat Center ~ Peranakan Halal Food @ S$15.80 nett (thereafter can go Geylang Bazaar)

3. SAKURA Buffet @ CCK ~ S$24++ (thereafter can go Geylang Bazaar)

Usually, reservation would have to be made for above mention.

Since we are less than 2 weeks away, i will need you guys to tell me fast.

SMS was sent today to all, but only onemanarmy, yamamotomaniac & xjrpinky88 replied to me.

So i need u guys to let me know before the week is over.

*any other food venues / suggestions is welcome.

Bull,

CCK got Sakura meh?

I thought it's at Clementi Woods there?

Honestly speaking, it's more convenient to eat locally.

Speed has never killed anyone.

hmmm, nash_1126 says there is one near the CCK Stadium. Will let him elobrate on that soon.

Yup, i share the same sentiments. I would say that 'Breaking Fast' locally is easier to plan out & hopefully with that, more XJRers will be attending.

wahhh...like that hor i go jb alone...but as i know the food at pan pacific jb is sedap...a little bird told me....hehehe

so the little birdie got tell u eh?

unsure if it is the same birdie, but i guess, JB buffet could be a little cheaper. But the planning can be a hassle eg, we have to take bus to JB. Then maybe catch another bus or taxi etc

so i am counting on the majority word & preference.

The breaking fast IS meant for all of us here...

by the way,i need to find a 2nd hand 20litre tank if i need to proceed wif my paintwork...any lobang....any condition is fine...

hmmm...second hand eh?

any luck in trying at any scrapyards yet?
