Don't know why the link once posted became invalid. I think the admin here set auto void links to sgbikemart. Go to the site and search. There's one done up for sale

There's one yellow 400 for sale at Unique.

Im not a pro but as what many mech told me our XJR is an air/oil cool engine and using thin velosity engine oil doesnt help much either for e engine in the long run..XJR is famous for their noisy engine so using 5W-30,10W30 or 10W-40 didnt help much either in our tropical climate..Our engine tend to lose juice during long rides or high speed..Normally this kind of grade suits water cooled engine more than ours..After using 10W-50/15W-50 grade engine oil i notice the engine sound tend to be slightly softer and engine heat aint that bad either..I still can maintain around 120-130kmh after riding from Singapore custom to Pontian without significant power loss due to heat..Only hiccup is that low end power isnt that great compared using thin grade EO..I also notice either NGK or Denso is suitable for our engine(Try Bosch but frankly quite sucks)..For 400cc i suggest that you keep the front tire size standard(110/70) rather than using 120/60 or 120/70..Fuel consumption and comfort will suffer..When i was using the Michelin 120/60 & 160/60 my low end tend to be unstable and need quite a throttle to pick up but after using Bridgestone Battlax 110/70 & 150/70 back feel like it give a slight punch for the low and mid torque..Of course you get a hard time finding radial type 150/70 size but what matters is comfort and a bit of juice you get...Happy trying..

What ive repaired/serviced after nearly 2 years of using this bike is

Clutch Chain,New gaskets,Service oil cool system,Valveclearance,Change rectifier,Check alternator

Change clutch and throttle cable,Service both braking systems,Carb cleaning and tuning..

It may not as smooth as S4 or GSR but at least it run finer than before..When i take over this bike last time going beyond 150 is a bane...Recently going 165kmh without any problems..Though need some fine tune at the carbs

I not a pro too just my 2 cents of tried thing .

U might want to try Mobil 20-50w (for v-rod) heat reduce a lot

Tyre I usually use S4 size 1) easy to find 2) more choices

3) price wise can save a bit

I usually use sport touring tyre

1) more mileage

2) more muti useage.

I use battlex 023 and Pd3

I will side 023 more as I use it up Thailand and got a puncture tyre and inside tube it last me 12500km ++ .

Wet road I kena water hit my lowerest side of my rim (when I still on 023) speed was consitatance 80-100km/h .

pd 3 I only got wet road and speed was 120 km/h .all good grip
