All bike shop the same lah....see people see "kam cheng" one...

 

Free 3 servicing means workmanship if wanna be official.

But if u "ya" wif them, they will throw in engine oil...

During the first 2 FOC servicing at HL, Shell mineral oil was used to service my bike. I did not ask for it to be changed into fully synthetic oil because I had to top up the difference if I wish to do so. But when I went back the 3rd time, I got them to change it to fully synthetic because the difference of both oil was $20.

 

But last week i when for my first servicing and the lady in the office told me that they will charge mineral oil at $8/L leh... And i realised that the warranty booklet says FREE SERVICING.. with fine prints "This coupon entitles you to FREE ADJUSTMENT and Lub svc. Oil, grease and other materials supplied are chargeable"

 

So need to pay anot?????

 

I just you call them and get your money back. I went for 2 times during the FOC service, i didn't pay a single cents. Better call them and get your money back.

mah say same as super4,12k plus... difference onli $500 i mean XJR 400,but few shops carry.. didnt ask for 1300cc, but very nice...

Hey guys i was at HL workshop today again... Apparently they changed policy wef 1st july... Then LL gotta pay for the engine oil even for the first servicing...

No man. Just asking how much it cost nowadays. I have a friend who rides the 1300 XJR. Anyhow, I don't intend to upgrade to a chain drive bike anymore. It's a hassle to maintain.

 

If i decide to stick to Yamaha, Diversion would be target no 1 and FJR no 2. If i move to Honda, it'll be ST11. If BMW, R1150GS. Then again, to be frank, Diversion is the most practical for Spore road use. The rest are to luxury unless i travel to Malaysia every fortnight.

 

Btw, since the XRJ is growing in numbers, why not meet up for kopi and chit chat about our bikes?

You mean FX plate is still not out? I'm sure it was FX11X on a blackbird when i went to Looi's on the weekend to buy some accessories. Is it because that number is bidded, therefore it can be released earlier? I'm not sure of the procedure.

Yep, when u bid a no, u get it once the bid is accepted n the bike is ready to roll out of the shop. I spoke to an FX125 no plate owner early june.

XJR400R can get OTR at ard 12k + -....depends heavily on insurance price.

ya i tink so...@ 5% interest...so if i loan 4 yrs will b $280++ a mth...tink the xtra costs com frm the single digit no. plate...

Normally, the price quoted does not include interests nor the hire-purchase stamp fee. It is the total price of bike + COE + IU + etc....without the interests of loan, and stamp fee. That's the normal practise...coz they wun noe if u gonna pay full cash, or 1 year installment or 2 years installment....etc rite.

 

So if the price is 15k, then I estimate the plate cost abt 2-3k....which ain't really worth it. Personal opinion, I rather spend that 2-3k importing good cool parts and accessories from Japan for the XJR...which can get quite alot oredi wif 2-3k.

 

Afterall, the plate oni last 10 years....

 

15k * 4.5%/annum for 4 years = 17.7k then monthly installment = $368.75

 

Piece of advice, dun drag installment for too long, 1 to 2 year is still reasonable....more than that, you may end up like alot of pple - when wanna sell bike, they either break even with the buyer COI or they still have to pump in cash to get rid of the bike coz the balance installments is more than the market value of the bike....

 

Plan and think carefully.....dun do something you can hardly afford and you will end up in a far worse situation than you can imagine...esp. when the stake here is more than 10k...
