mine after washing and tuning of carb,FC seems worse..:sian:

And the problem is during stopping at traffic light, the idling is always moving up & down.

when moving off from green light, open throttle, the rpm always like drop down, and have to open more,1 to 2 secs later then it will goes up.sometimes

even engine dies off... :(

At 220km,my fuel reading is at 1 bar only...:faint:

ride safe today,ride again tomorrow

our s4 18 litres of tank correct?.

that other time i pump the reading read 18.50 litres..

the machine something wrong or.............................................

the story is like this, from town, back to sg, from yishun to wdlands and then to tampoi's petronas, was all runing under reserve tank.....

so i was like thinking, should i travel abit further up, i couldve be swarmped by hungry m'sian's asking for donations.

btw, 18 litres...?. or....18 litres not included reserve tank?

For every 7 pounds you lose, you gain one horsepower.

Actually s4 full tank is not 18litres to be exact. Got once I rode till the petrol went totally dry (including reserve). I push my bike to the petrol kiosk and manage to pump 18.8 ~ 19litres of V-power in.

Usually I have a habit where I would wait for my petrol to enter reserve and rode further for MaximuM 50km before I pump, and average I pump 17.6 - 18litres already.

My mileage BeforE reserve last me minimum 370 - 382km

Maximum I go is 448km - 455km (Throttle w care in ReservE, havent dry)

Riding habit: 95kmh 6k rpm - on vtec once in a while.

Mostly play Pick up only.

haa.. yea.. Reserve kick in @ the '15 lit' level...

so reserve is abt 3.5 - 4lit = can travel 81km more... So think if ur reserve kick in at 320km, the MAX u can go is only 400km (throttle w care) ...

Lol... =)

hey.. i not riding s4 but i oso riding a bike which works on Carb. i used to experience this prob. aft discussion with my mech, i came to realise that carb wash may not necessary be good. there are small pockets or tunnels in the carb that cannot be washed by mechanical means. chemicals can do the job but they may corrode material resulting in a larger diameter. this may result in a faulty carb. hence, best is not to wash carb unless really necessary.. :cheeky:

my prob was finally resolved aft a proper tuning, which resulted in a good FC, one that was the best since i got my bike! :thumb:
