Track Day in Singapore - 24 Sep 2006 (Sun)

Hi, all, would like to know a show of hands who is interested in a track day organised by Peter & me.

 

 

Venue: It's in a place similar to the Police Academy for those who had participated in the last Police week, This place is located in Singapore. More details will be revealed.

 

Date: 24 Sep 2006 (Sun)

 

Time: TBC (Whole Day)

 

Price: TBC

 

Participants: Limited participants, as it's a track day together with the Supermotards.

 

Format of conduct: Riders will be catergorised into groups and ride within a time limit of about 15 - 20 mins per group, depending on no of participants.

Hi, to all brudders & sisters:

 

Thks for the interest.

 

The track day will be run in the manner of groups. Each group will ride for about 15 - 20 mins in a controlled environment, depending on the no of participants.

 

For example, if there are 4 groups, group 1 will ride for 20 mins, then group 2... so on so forth, then group 1 will ride again.

 

This will continue on and on, so as to ensure that every rider will have enough rest before the next ride. Then everything will stop during lunch time, for maybe about 1 hr, where the ride will continue again till the end of the track day.

 

The location still can't be revealed now as the arrangements are still in progress. I dun wan to let serious riders be disappointed. Once everything is confirmed, I'll post them here.

 

The main purpose of this track day is to promote motorsports, practicing safe yet hard riding in a safe controlled area, with strictly no racing with each other involve. If everything goes on smoothly, this location may be our next location for race when the kallang stadium is being demolished at the end of the year.

Hi,

 

It'll be good for the participant to have a racing license.

 

However, we'll not limit to only participants who holds the racing license. We also encourage participants who do not hold the racing license to to participate in this event in order to have a taste of local track day, riding in a safe yet hard in a controlled area, to have a taste how riding in a track is like for those who have not gone to one before.

 

Suit and full face helmet & gloves are a must as safety is one of our main priority.

common guys keep the names rolling this is th efirst track day in singapore...why not make this happen and maybe we gonna have a track day one a month or once in every 2 months..

hi its really a cool idea,

but do u think can loosen the limitation like having a armoured jacket instead of a suit

as think alot of kup riders dun think will spend so much for a suit...

 

but ups for the efforts! been waiting for this for a long time!

I shall answer to some of your enquires below:

 

What license do you mean? Racing license?

 

No, we do not limit to riders only holding the racing license, but we also encourage those who do not hold one to join us this track day. This is to encourage and teach our riders more on riding safely yet hard in a safe controlled environment.

 

All riders should have a racing suit, full face helmet, riding boots & gloves as minimum requirement for safety.

 

But I'll try my very best to downgrade the minimum safety requirements to armoured jacket, full face helmet, gloves, jeans and boots for those participants who have not raced or ridden before in a track.

 

For modifications wise, u can modify yr machine as per race day like kallang, but pls take care when riding on the road, as ROVs or TPs are always on the watch. Some of u guys may wanna share renting a tow truck together to bring your machines over to the track day.

would love to join n really interested but i have to give it a miss again this time cause will b in japan till 25th sept for work..haizzz.. Its a gd start for our kub rider to support this event..I will come n support this event the nx round... Have fun guyzz..

Latest Info:

 

Participants eligible for this track day are for those riders who holds the SMSA license.

 

Safety requirements are the same as per race day: Suit, Boots, Gloves, Full face helmet. No worn tyres, brakes working.....

 

Modifications for bikes is same as per race day.

 

Location will be revealed soon as the arrangements are already on the way.

 

I apologise to those who have put names but cannot participate.
