It would do no good answering over the forum, as words are often misinterperated. Give me some time and I will organise something. We will send out invitations. There is no need to talk about neutral locations, unless you have a bone to grind, and the best place is my office as all my tools, mechanics and materials are here, and there is ample parking space.

Believe me I am not looking for troubles ,just some answers to my queries, therefore I do not have any bones to grind with anybody.I have asked Aprilia_Axo about the Warranty,he has told me that he was given a warranty card, which is a good thing, but how come the rest don't have it?Ok I think I shall wait for your invitations to the meet and talk sessions, cos I would like to get the answers...FYI,I love my Atlantic,I have no regrets buying it,it's the way that the things are being presented to us that I am not very happy about, not the bike....Thanks.

Mmm.....seems like a big NO for Aprilia's agent here....

Lau eh, if the local agent can't fulfill your claim, it's best that to inform the Italian manufacturer directly that someone is tarnishing their reputation at this region. :nono:

Aprilia has spent millions of $$$ into marketing their brand, I believe they will be interested to know this.

Can I ask how recently did you get our bike? as when we got ours,we got no coupons whatsoever, and did you have the warranty card?

As for me I usually pump in Esso 98,and for full tank you should be able to travel till about 230km,before your reserved lights blink..

For the servicings it should be at 1k ,2k and then 3k....but pls check with the bike shop as they might have change it..

Hi there, i just collected my bike last week from mah motors and all i was given was the green colored coupon like piece of a4 size paper that's divided into 3 portions. The salesman told me that i'm entitled to 3 servicings but that's only free workmanship and nothing more. As for the warranty card, i know of no such thing and i wasn't given one for sure.

Anyway my ic is still with them and i was told to make another trip down on wednesday to collect my ic, insurance, log card and stuff so maybe i'll pop the question. :goodluck:

I am not sure....I am still waiting for them, and I may just send this whole thread to Aprilia Italy and asked them to answer my queries about the specail tools and the labour charges....

To date we have almost 500 Aprilia riders. To organise an event of this scale takes time. For those who have problems with their mirrors, we have some in stock, please make an appointment with the workshop and quote you need a warranty replacement. The workshop has already been informed. Please note we have very LIMITED stock as we are still waiting for the warranty parts to come in.

Aprilia_Axo, please make an appointment and come down.

Please don't worry about the warranty card. All brand new aprilia bikes bought from us have WARRANTY. It does not matter whether if you have the card or not.

BTW, we are trying our best to solve this problem amicably, as responsible dealers. It is basically a simple warranty replacement. Labour charges are fixed and IMPOSED on us by the factory. Please clarify with them if you wish to.

btw, i have some noobie questions which i'll like to ask our dear fellow atlanticians.

Does your exhaust make ticking sounds when you park your bike after riding? Does it have a "chao tar" kind of smell emitting from it? Mine does.

What's your bike temperature like while riding? Mine tends to get really hot sometimes and usually hovering between the 3/4 and over heat mark. When does the fan usually come on? i noticed that sometimes the fan come on even i off the engine. is this normal?

what's the recommended run in speed? i've been doing no more than 80km and my milage is only a measly 200km. is 80km/hr too much?

Thanks! :help:

not to worry,as it shows that you are riding a new bike,it will go away in time...As for the temp,it only goes to the 3/4 mark when you are stuck in traffic. If you are travellin in the expressway,it should remain in the 1/4 mark. The fan will start when the needle almost touches the red patch.I would suggest that you check you coolant level,it's under your seat....

Hi (From Mah Pte)

With respect, I cannot understand your fustration as all that is required is for you to come for a replacement. If you want to go to Aprilia Italy, you are free to do so. However, please note the report should be factual and not embellished as we will be receiving a copy from Aprilia. Labour charges cannot be published in the open, as this is an agreement between Aprilia and us. However, please come down to my office, I have the directive from Aprilia which I can show you. However, this should remain strictly private between us. The directive will answer all you questions.

(From Moi)

HI,First of all How may I address you?I am not Frustrated as I only wanted some questions answered,I am sorry to tell you that ,I have to let those that are in the forum know about it,but only to those that are riding the Atlantic. If you have read my post correctly,I have said that I will only do that if there is no news from your side,But since you have come out and reply, then I see nopoint in doing that, unless I get no answers. You must understand that I am not only speaking for myself, but for others that are riding the aprilia(Atlantic) Pls rest assured that even If I were to asked Aprilia Italy about this issue I will only State the facts as to what I have known and gathered and will attached all the postings in te Aprilia cafe thread, for them to get a better understanding.

YOu must bring yourself to understand from the stand point of the consumer,I believe that you ,yourself is also a consumer,If you were to be in our shoes I guess you will be just as anxious as us to get the unanswered questions answered.

I can understand that you are frustrated, thinking that I am against Aprilia or you,Like I have said I love my bike. But it seems to many of us here that you guys are practising double standards when it comes to dealing with your customers.I am sorry to say this, althought the X9 has more problems than the Aprilia Atlantic, but their service is much better,in terms of customers relationship, and getting answer from them is also much faster, thus resulting in solving problems faster and saving everybody time.As you know the longer things drag on,the more frustrated people gets....Like I have asked you a simple questions ,,pertaining to the labour chargers,I was told on the day of my servicing that the labour cost was $10, and now I was told that the labour chargers is $32/hr,kindly explain.Thanks.If you cant print it out in the forum you can always Pm me like what you are doing now,but you didn't,instead you query me about why am I being so frustrated.

Belive I do not want to start any thing,as long as I have my question answer I will go away in peace.

As for the mirror,I think that you guys will only allowed me to change 1 side,as I accidently drop the left side while trying to tighten it.and that I believe will cost me $80.So what am I to do?

Hi(From Mah Pte)

I have not pulled up your record. If you could give me your bike number, I can ascertain exactly what is going on. So did you pay $10 or $32?

(From Me)

I paid $50 plus for the first servicing ,I was told that the labour charge was only $10,Ibut what I am told now is that the labour charge is $32/hr I am very confused over this.

Hi (From MAh Pte)

Could I have your bike no?

(from me)

Sure but first may I know who am I talking too? how may I address you?

(from Mah Pte)

This is k@@@@ mah here. Andy will be able to clarify my identity.

(from Me)

No need to Clarify your identity,Do I really seem so bad to you? anyway my Bike no is Fw 7###,so can I get both of my mirror replaced?

Hi Ziggyray (from Mah Pte)

This is a breakdown of your 1 and only service.

1 Bttle Gear Oil - $4.80

2 Ltr Engine Oil - $19.24

1 Oil Filter - $25.00 (Original filter)

Total - $49.04

GST 4% - $1.96

Total Amt - $51.00

Thus there were no labour charges.

Hi,K#### (from Me)

Well I know that there is no labour charge, basically what I am asking you is ,why i was told that the labour charge is $10,when I asked them and now the labour charge is $32/hr ? Piaggio is not charging for the service(FYI)Thanks for taking the time to find out, there are still lots of unanswered questions, which my fellow bikers have want me to find out...

Hi (from Mah Pte)

As you said, it does not take 1 hour to change a brake pad. Labour charges go by a 10min Block, so a job taking 20mins will cost about $10.

--------------------

Well the last reply from Mah pte is the most absurd, when I ask him way before he didn't want to reply me about the how the calculate on the labour, and now he is using what I have said or ask him,in this respect (how long does it take to fixed the front brake)

Well if it takes only 20 mins to do the servicing, why was I made to wait for more than 2 hours? He insist that the warranty of the Aprilia still stands for those who do not know or was not told of it,the big question now hangs over my head is,what about those months prior to us not being told? Some of us have lost about 10 months of our warranty,so in this expect are they going to extend the warranty period for us? I wasnt frustrated till I read the last reply...... pissed me off.Why ithas to be as what I have said? I am in no control of Mah Pte Ltd,and definetely not their Mechanics,I do not dictate how long they need to service the bikes that comes in,so?and why he didnt want to mentioned about the 10 mins blocked thingy in the first place?HE said that the labour charge are being calculated based on the actual time that the they are servicing it,there is a time card where they have to sign in and when its finish they sign out,and the calculations will be based on that,I have no problem with that, but where is the 10 minutes block ,mentioned?

If I were to be able to change the front brake and belt and other servcing at other motor shops, which do not carry or sells Aprilia,so what s the special tools needed, that will justified the per hour charges?

Anger is like a cloud, the more angry you are the more it clouds your vision
