Hei Folks,

I saw a white ET8 150 this morning with FY plate and I noticed subtle difference between my ET8 and that ET8... beside the colour of course.

For instance, the logo on that metal portion near the rear wheel reads 'piaggio' whereas mine reads 'vespa'. Also for my ET8, the button above the electric start is a dud whereas the other vespa has a function - something like a bulb icon...

Hmmm... I am wondering why are they different.

P.S. noticed rust spots on the edges of my brake disc... am getting upset.

:giddy:

vespa looks better :D

I was looking at LX pictures and suddenly a few thoughts came into my mind.

Was wondering if we could purchase LX front side (the front panel, the glove compartment, the head light and the mirrors) and fixing it to our ET8. Don't know if the measurement fits or not else we could modify it into our own version of Vespa "EX" lol

Also i thought of going to JB and fix either a white light that's blinking or not behind our horn panel at the front (the one where there're strips of holes for hole and below the headlight with Piaggio logo). I think it would look cool.

Good idea to fix the LX front panels..if the body frame is the same then no problem liao...try stripping ur ET out n then look at the way how ur body panels r being mount on to the body frames such as screws points n joint points then go check out the LX's n c if they r the same

Hey Katzen,

My ET8 has the exact same "features" as yours: dud button on right handle, and VESPA near rear wheel.

And to everyone else,

Thanks for the warm welcome! Will definitely join up for meet-up sessions, but it'll be on public transport until I pass, cos I dun want to get caught and delay passing my 2B!

That's smart thinking :thumb:

Just don't put too much stress on yourself or it will be even harder to pass

Katzen,

My ET8 is maroon in colour. I'm not putting too much stress on myself, just that I can't wait to ride my baby!

BTW, just want to do a poll. What helmets are you guys using when you ride your ET8s? I like the look of a half-cap cos it gives it a very vintage feel but I dun think there are any thats PSB-approved. Any good ideas anyone?

Posted

you are right, half cap helmet are not approve so far in sg, some 1 i know of did send enquiry to ROV, TP asking for the reason, they simply ask him to send the helmet for psb checking, and psb just fax back the cost list of checking the helmet. :giddy:

Saw a half cap at Regina veri beautiful but $450+ (MoMo design).

With every good wishes

I saw the half cap at Regina too! Didn't know its by Momo Design. Saw that there is the "NEXX" word on the visor. Very very nice. But way too expensive to pay for a helmet thats not approved.

How about the rest of you guys? What helmets are you using?

Posted

i'm using some cheapo helmet WIN but i guess i will change it soon. not safe and can't protect you from the rain!! geez..

btw is the makan session still on ppl??

I personally find half cap, though cool, is mighty impractical. It is not fun to have rain drops pelting on your face while you are travelling on the road... pain leh.. And half cap with visor just looks very wrong ... at least the one's I've seen.

You are right in a way that not practical to use for long distance touring, but some half cap helmet really look stylo. :lovestruck:

Cheap lee and Regina have those MoMo design very attractive but price is more expensive than a Nolan full face.

Damm, the helmet very tempting....

With every good wishes

Hi Guys,

So sorry to dissapoint you but in view of the overwhelming non-response, I think it is better to postpone the seafood makan session to another day. Will advise the date. Plus there 'free' + ' food' = killer combination, happening on the same day.

We'll make it one of these days yar.

:sorry:
