Guys, what do you all think of the EZZYOiler that lubes your chain? It uses EO as the lube, and it drips onto your chain when you ride, but I dont know what happens when you stop.

The dripping can be adjusted as well. It says it eliminates the need to clean the chain and most of all it is cheap! Is this a better choice than me buying a can of chain lube and just spray twice a week?

The first thing I bought once I got my cb400 revo was to buy an auto oiler for it. I highly recommend it. This is my first bike and in 3 months I have done 5000kms and not once have I had to touch the chain. The only thing I have done so far is refill the 50ml oil reservoir once. The system comes with 1/2 a litre of oil. So that bottle should see you thru 30000-40000km. Mine is set so it drips one drop of oil on the chain every minute while I am riding. I'm not sure if it drips while stopped. I bought the Scotoiler system for AU220 and paid AU80 to get it installed. Now I don't have to buy a race stand to lift the back of the bike or cans of lube and most importantly waste time cleaning/lubing the chain. Thru using the Scotoiler you are supposed to get 80000-100000kms out of the same chain/sprockets before needing replacement.

Don't be fooled by such sales gimmick..just a sales strategy to me (IMHO). Two wheelers don't need wheel balancing much like four wheelers. What is the use of balancing two wheels with a new tyre when there is nothing wrong with the rims? After 3 months, new tyre become 3 months worn tyre then what?..balance again?...ha....x3!

You only need to do it ONLY when your rim has mild dent or damage which affects rotation speed of tyre weight when at certain speed. You do this only when you don't have the budget to change to a undamaged rim.:sian:

but ah pek, my sensor spoil is inside the meter. i know there's another sensor which lit to the speedo speed problem where u need to take out ur fuel tank to change it. mine problem now is the meter inside. haiz. dun noe which shop can do. unique quote me 400 plus for the electronic board inside the meter. where new meter cost 690 full set. super ex thou.

Jialat la like that! Yah..the circuit board is very expensive. I suggest you buy it yourself and DIY..sure cheaper regardless of what the spare part shop sells as you save on workmanship.

Best to compare price if you want bike shop to do it. Talking about who quoted you..lots of ppl are getting MIC stuff from LAB..careful. No problem for doing the meter for me if I have the parts.

I see I see...but..haha scottoiler kinda outta my budget. There's this EZZYOiler thing that works similar, just wondering if any bros here have tried it, and would recommend or not?

I don't know but rather than wasting $20 on the EZZYOiler I'd save up and get the proper thing. But if you don't have the cash then the EZZYOiler is worth a shot and $20 you haven't got anything to lose.

I believe lots of ppl can do it lah..it depends on their labour cost as per hour spend and expertise. Of course you can have it done at Boon Siew, worksmanship wise less assured but it's gonna cost u a 'bomb'. If u asked me, that kind of cctboard change do not need service quality of an autorise agent unless mototiam all charge you the same for their (Boon Siew) standard.

Anyone knows where to get "L-shaped" tyre valve cap?

LAB can get. 4 bucks.

Doesn't matter what brand or type...you all are wasting $$$s. Those things don't really works..only makes your chain looks "wet" with oil. No freaking dropplets on a back slashing chain in motion can really lube anything (IMHO).

Save the money for something your bike need better on a rainy day when it comes. You are better off with a plastic oiling bottle that cost only $1.20 and a bottle of fork oil that last u a long time. Oiling the change once a month won't kill...takes less than 5 mins. Do this when you arrive home at night and let the oil sipped into the joints till morning. We use to brush it which is faster and cleaner.

Btw, how much does scottoiler cost on vtec III?

Not worth the cost of what it is,...material wise. Moreover, the setup is disuppting the the true volume of vaccum action to the fuel kork...IMHO. :sian:

I am a new rider and didn't feel confident that I would always clean/lube my chain as required and wanted an automatic system to do it for me for the sake of convenience. I have had my bike and the Scotoiler for over 3 months and am loving it. The dripper drips oil while in motion so everything gets sucked in to the chain where it is supposed to go in while the chain is moving. My chain is never dry or never too wet. I don't have a centre stand as the bikes in Australia don't come standard with them so I would have had to buy a race stand rear lifter which costs over $100. Can's of lube cost $25. The lube/wax in cans always seem to fling off but the Scotoiler oil never flings as it applies it gradually as required. I fill in 50ml to the reservoir on the bike and it lasts 3-4000kms.

At the end of the day I find this auto system works very fine for me as I use my motorcycle 500-700km every week and would need to waste a lot of time/money on cleaning/lubing my chain. I intend to keep this bike for 2-3 years so saw it as a worthwhile investment. Everybody is different and if people like doing it manually then good on them and at least they are actually lubing/cleaning their chain whereas some people don't even touch their chains at all.

Below are some pics of my setup:

After some thinking, I've decided not to install scottoiler. Yes, what Ah Pek said is true,

"...Oiling the change once a month won't kill...takes less than 5 mins...". Bottom line, it all depends on every individual rider. Peace Out!
