Guys,any idea why my spec 2 vibrations stronger than my frens spec 2?

Is it because of my blueflame exhaust?

It vibrates strongly while bike is moving.

Even my pillion complain as the footrest vibrates.

Can help solve the problem?Thanks.

[Q] hi i am riding a version R but my meter casing and the glass panel for the RPM meter have broke.My meter is the one that have the temp gauge instead of the fuel gauge. Mech tried to fit a version s meter but it was not compatible with my bracket and wiring. Anyone has any idea where can i get it changed or when can i get a new meter similar to mine. i have checked ah boy and the scrap shop beside aunty shop, both places also dont have it.My meter is working but the neutral light and the rest not working and i can only start the bike after i kick off the side stand and clutch in even though am in neutral gear.Meach said its due to the wiring and only way to solve it is if i can replace the meter.Would appreciate if anyone could help me with this.Thanks

onli the glass panel of the meter casing is broke for ur old meter? other than tat the meter is working fine? if the old meter is working fine in all fuction u can just get a new casing to replace it

Hi, yes the meter is working but my except my oil and signal indicator the rest of the other 2 indicstors on the right side is not working too where one is the neutral gear indicator. ok where can i get the casing if its possible cos i have checked a few places and they dont seem to have.Thanks.

Nothing to check externally unless coolant is leaking out. Ur bike is hotter than it should be is likely due to partial clogs in the radiator with rust due to coolant mixes with tap water that causes rust. Flow is restricted because of rust build up over the times. Tap water should not be use but deionised or distilled instead. Motodiam don't bother mot of the time..for servicing when coolant not enough..tap water is added to filled the volume when one or two bottles is not enough to save cost. A well drained S4 coolant system requires about 1.8 to 2 litres full of premix coolant.

 

So, how do I remove the rust? Ah pek, I think I got this same issue here. I PMed you bro =)

previously i posted about my s4 unable to start. towed to the bikeshop and realize the battery is drained. they recharged it for me and told me that HID for MY s4 is not recommended, i told them to remove it. they also checked my magnetic coil and said current flow is fine and stable. All these was a roughly a week ago.

 

Right now my battery is drained again and its only been less than 12hrs since my last trip with this bike. no neutral light, signal not working, horn not working, headlight very very weak. i did no modifications to it. all is stock. can anybody advise me on what is wrong?

Have ur cpo;. battery and rectifier check again..could be ur battery dying liao..need a battery analyser (resistance check not voltage) to confirm..not a voltmeter.

Have to remove as much as u can from the rubber hoses..the radiator part..cannot..want..have to change new radiator.

like my case leh...but i changed to new batt and rectifier thanks to ah pek..and now ive to change my coil!reserving what life left on the bike for a trip to a bikeshop before it totally..die...

 

anyway..try to push start ah..then if u have a handheld multimeter,check ur coil and battery all..

 

just push ur bike at 2nd gear and itll start..heh

ive ever had coil problem on yamaha x1 before..so i roughly know the symptoms.

 

for big cc bike,depending on how lucky u r,the bike will skip a beat while idling...like when ur idling goes constantly at RPM 1.2-1.5,suddenly it goes below 1 den go back normal.after that it dies.

 

from time to time it gets worse.eventually,ur bike depends on ur battery's life and when ur battery's weak,ur bike cant start at all even if push start.

 

while ur bike can still start,if u have a good handheld multimeter or battery analyser,measure the voltage at the battery there..if its below 13v(ie 12v+) ur coil weak already,and if ur coil is really going to die,

it shouldnt charge the battery when u rev ur bike.i know only how to measure voltage,idk whats the reading for resistance check..forgot ah..haha..ask ah pek.

 

anyway big bike always like this arr...later upgrade class 2 2nd hand watch out for this also..ma fan.

ohh yayaya my bike stalled on neutral gear on one occasion in the exact way u described.. the rpm ki siao go up go down den suddenly stall..

 

right infront of bendemeer road before the erp somemore... so many bikes beside me.. so paiseh... confirm they think "wah lau eh.. this fellow ride s4 still can stall engine.. nb take 2b better liddat.." hahahahaha =x

Hi, can i know if it is normal for my coolant level on my reserve coolant tank to fall?? i have been checking it weekly and i have to top up every now and then.... i have checked my bike, there isnt leaking i can see

Take off your tank and check ur radiator cap..the pressure rubber seal may be bad liao. Oso check radiator hose for sign of rust.

wah,still got time think like that ah?i kpkb my bike already..dont care what ppl say...hahaha..aiya big bike riders wont think like that one la..coz most of them confirm get this type of problem once in their lifetime..unless if u move off or slowing down then stall engine diff story la..hahaha

Take off your tank and check ur radiator cap..the pressure rubber seal may be bad liao. Oso check radiator hose for sign of rust.

 

Thanks Ah Pek for your advice, could it be the reason why the left side of my engine feels hotter than my right side?? also, there are some oil from the lower part of my engine, is it normal too

If ur reserve coolant tank show drop in coolant level and no sign of external leak..its already a sign of overheating due to low level of cycled coolant in the cooling system. Its either escaping from the radiator cap or could be a blown head gasket the seperates the coolant and oil. Do take off your spark plug arrestor (the rubber piece that plugged into your spark plugs and see if its wet (the rubber itself)..if it is, likely gasket problem and your spark plug hole may be flooded with coolant. s for which side is hotter..it doesn't matter.

 

If there is eo stainand blacken with accumulated grits..your engine block lower or upper gasket is bad..have to have it replace.
