Wasnt Wes Brown's fault, it was VDS's, whose performance was overall below par - take that simple drop-kick he miscued terribly and got some screaming from Rio.

 

Berbatov didnt look fit at all. If he was, then he has a lot to do because he isnt playing for a mid-table team anymore. Did you count how many times he walked during play? He never runs after passing too.

 

Rooney was sacrificed to play at the flank, so Berba can play upfront. Just because Rooney can, doesnt mean he should. Although he did well yesterday, I loved Rooney upfront. Berba shouldve subbed out during half time or at the hour mark.

 

Giggs was fit to play, and shouldve played. Anderson is nowhere near good quality on the left flank. Shouldve subbed out earlier. Scholes shouldve played the whole game. Hargreaves, just back from injury, was subbed in - what the hell for? Shouldve been Nani.

 

And i (together with my friends) firmly iterate again, any United fan who thinks Hargreaves is good, is just either supporting United without understanding football, or not die-hard enough.

What about hargreaves don't you like Yas? I like his energy and commitment, though his technique (other than in dead ball situations) can be improved....

Yeah. I mean Hargreaves is no Roy Keane, but in MU squad I see no better defensive minded midfielder. I believe that SAF will have to find the right combo for his midfield and forward line.

Everything except his dead ball technique and precision. Plus his injury proneness, which makes him not play. His ball control stinks, cant dribble for nuts, passes backwards more than 80% of the time (even without pressure), just to name a few. Energy and commitment - well many people say that, but really, where has it been? His last performance for England before United purchased him was "full" of that but that's a one-off. He doesn't chase back (as much as someone like P. Neville or JSPark will) and he doesnt defend well - commits way too easily, doesnt ask for balls to attack, stinks at midfield hold-up play and distributions. His off-the-ball position is terrible, gives the ball away too frequently and is VERY comparable to the worst excuse of a RoyKeane replacement, Liam Miller.

 

The worst thing, is, he talks to the media a lot. So much about United being strong and stuff - but whenever he plays, he's often the reason why United lacked the attacking prowess. If only he shuts the hell up and tell it by his feet.

That's your opinion and i believe many United fans are Hargreaves worshippers. He is a defensive midfielder who sucks at defending, how sorry can that be? I mean he IS a good player, really, but not for United's level. Maybe Bolton, i dont know.

 

Hah even my hardcore Arsenal-fan brother and many other United-rival-supporting friends of mine loves it when he plays. You should understand where this is coming from.

Anyways if you've been paying attention to the stats, his goal tally may not be up there, but his open play and assists are amazing when he plays upfront.
