pry open dust cover

slide in the card or negative

go around the seal slowly and carefully

if there is dirt, it will be push out

and solve the problem.

the silicone glue please make sure it's those high temp that can endure up to 650 F or about 300 odd degree celcius lar.. it's red one... can get at most hardware store.. please don't get the white or transparent one... it's stated something like for gaskets type... ask around maybe some dude who fixed the CFC from the previous batch of shipping will have leftovers. i can't imagine people using 1/4 tube sia...

grey colour one the temp lower leh... BLING BLING! heh eh but how you put so much.. i squeeze a bit like a worm around the whole thing.. the stuff is like erm... overflowing already. anyway based on what lao chai said last night.. even with the case shield if the fall is bad enough, still will puncture the case. so doesn't having it will guarantee a no puncture of engine case.

there's another thing that maybe new owners should learn about DRZ. loose countershaft sprocket nut is quite a common problem.

as adviced, the following is the method to prevent it, (taken off TT)

Clean/ Degrease the splines and threads of the countershaft, place 4 drops of red locktite on the countershaft splines where the sprocket will sit. Put 1 drop on the threads. Install, torque the nut, fold the washer.. Let the locktite cure,, (over night is best) Go ride. It will not come loose now. To remove,,, you will need a small 2 jaw puller,, available from most any auto supply store or Sears,, under $10.00. Use that to remove the sprocket after the nut has been removed.

i don't really understand what it's talking about. someone care to enlighten?
