Btw, whats the best tyre size & brand frnt & rear for our zee which is gd for cornering?

I did not try other tyres before.. But Michelin Power 1 is one of the best i've tried.. Good for Track and road use.. the set on mine had been on my bike since April.. it had done abt 8 track days in Sepang, PG and Tuas.. and it has been my daily transport too.. threads are still good and strong.. i believe it can last a few more track days and at least till Dec if not Oct for commuting..

other tyres like Bridgestone 090 and Dunlop D253 are good tyres too..

sizes are limited.. for front most of us use 120.. not sure if anyone uses any other sizes..

for the rear, for more lean angle can try 160. but it may rub your chain depending on the profile of the brand of tyre.. some do some dun.. unless you using 5 inch rims..

to play safe, use 150..

One of the first few mods that people do on their DRZs are sliders, MCCT and case savers. Add in handguards if you are looking to play in track.

For powerwise, there's alot more.

Welcome to the club :)

hey, i was just wondering...

the new stock DRZ only comes in black colour now right? the white/blue and yellow DRZ belongs to an older version, no? or are all the colours still in production?

in terms of specs and parts, any major differences?

can any knowledgeable kind soul tell me which years or the plate alphabets are the whites and yellow manufactured?

honestly, i think they all look nice. trust me, i love black. but when it comes to bike and safety, i think maybe the white/blue one is a better choice. moreover, it seems to be a rare breed on the road in comparison to the other colours.

thanks in advance!

i'm using 160 michelin sport pilot i think installed by the previous owner. so far ok. i dunno if the rims r chgd though.....but 160 looks really nice with it's low profile n cup curve....n yes, when u corner, it really tells u that u can go further...scary though....

currently the only colours for 09 models are white and black.

Yellow is only for year 2005, 2006 and 2007.. Blue is more rare, as its production year limited to only 2007..

but you can always buy aftermarket plastics from Acerbis or UFO to be installed.. or order it thru the authrised agents, it's not cheap thou..

what size is ur bt090, where u got them?

many of the bike shops are carrying this tyre.. size should be 150.. rarely see BT90 in 160..

white is awesome. i'm seriously contemplating about getting one. but since i'm short on cash, probably have to wait some time, or find a cheaper alternative.

anyway, thanks for the info!

you should try Michelin Power 1.. thou a bit ex.. but it's good for normal use and occasional track days..

160 BT090 is abit hard to find IIRC..

thanks, the last time i asked, the behind number was bigger. the one tht's aft the 150 (eg 150/?)

the number is the profile size.. it's the height of the side of the wall.. should be 60 or 70. it's also crucial to see.. if it's 70, might have higher chance of rubbing chain..

you can search the internet.. dirtdigits for example will let you design your own sponsers..

for scamblers decals, most US online shops had samples..
