like change my carburetor and tune it, which usually takes hours to get the correct jetting work (workshops usually pretend to tune it but they are just adjusting the air screw), install my autonomous chain oiler, and clean the bike.

looking forward to the chain oiler, and also hope to learn more about tuning the carb to get the correct jetting. :D

correct jetting actually based on how you ride it?

yes no?

The correct jetting based on how a 2-stroke bike should be ridden, NOT according to every individual riding style, which for many noobs, can be the STUPID way of riding, not the CORRECT way to ride.

(ie. cruising below the powerband, and complaining of a lack of power etc)

Been my dream bike since school days, waaaay before i got my license. Anyway, just got a couple of things to say abt this bike.

First thing i notice is that this bike is like a horny b***h wanting to be spanked, coz u can really feel it sputtering(i forgot whats that word they use to describe this) when u never wack it, ie rpm below 6k, predominantly ard the 5k rpm mark.

Another thing, i noe Aprilias have garnered a reputation of being a problematic bike. But i didnt expect my problems to set in so soon. Just a couple hours of getting the bike(barely 30km on the odo) my oil indicator keeps randomly going on and off. if you guys nt sure what im talking abt its the "!" sign on the meter. I duno whats wrng. 2T tank is full. Gg back to Mah to ask them wats wrng.

Also, the neutral is very hard to find. need to keep going up and down gear one and two several times before can get neutral. and the shifting is quite hard. I got blister on my toe becoz of this(was wearing some thin canvas sneakers). Im nt sure why but im guessing its becoz of the mineral engine oil they use for the running in period. Hopefully this wont be a problem when i change to better oil.

Above all, its really a b***h having to control myself and not wack the bike. 6k rpm at gear 6 is ard 85km/h. I cant imagine riding at 85km/h for 1-2mths. My workplace is ard 5 click away from home only, so i can wait long2 before i hit the 2000km mark.

But really, even though im gona be eating maggi mee for the rest of the mth and next mth, i dont regret getting this bike a single bit.

Bogging? Yeah it sputters because it's not meant to be ridden at such a low rpm. Ride it like a 2-stroke bike is meant to be ridden, and it'll be fine. Keep the revs above 7,000rpm. If you're running in, above 7k but below 9k rpm. It is the rpm and engine load that is critical, not the speed at which you travel.

If you don't flush that mineral oil out as soon as possible, you're going to be facing even more problems soon. Switch to synthetic, but change the oil after the first 200km, 500km, 1000km, and 2000km. You'll see the metal filings and leftover burrs from the manufacturing process get flushed out.

Have fun with your baby and hope to see you on our rides and DIY soon.

And don't forget to wear the proper gear when riding. It can mean the difference between ICU and outpatient treatment.

If you have to eat grass, it means you are spending beyond your means, and you probably should be ATGATT to prevent additional expenditure on medical expenses.

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.

Okay. I'm back on transmission. Sound check clear.

Nice bike dude.. Mineral oil in RS125???? Flush it out now! You better install Fully Synthetic 2T software in the bike from now on.. else you're prone to virii... Even Norton cant do shiz when shiz happens.

And the shifting of gear - omgness your scenario sounds the same as a friend who bought the same model from the same place. Aprilia is never a problematic bike for me - take care of it well, it will take care of you. Only had one problem recently - wear and tear of speedometer sensor of which i got it replaced asap.. :) Super slow and super fast rider here.. My speed is usually either 80km/h or 170+km/h.

Anyone going F1 on sunday?

Ride safe..!

It's a horny AND sexy B***H actually.

Nice bike dude. Still in showroom condition i assume. I also ate instant noodles when i traded in my old one for this baby. :faint: I still remember a friend who had the same exact colours as yours. Now his whole bike different alrdy, and scary to touch. Haha..

Good luck in going back to that shop for troubleshooting. Ride safe! :cheer:

Thanks for the reassurance man. Haha.. Ever since i retuned the bike, been squeezing the throttle from 2nd gear onwards. Feels syiok when i'm maintaining rPm at 7k onwards. But once the traffic starts to get dense, alamak... No choice gotta ride slow. :faint:

He meant mineral gear oil,not mineral 2t.Anyway when I first bought the bike @ Mah,they use mineral oil for the 1st few hundred clicks. After the 2nd or 3rd service with them they use semi syn gear oil i think.Their workshop area is off-limits to public,so we can't see what **** they do to our bike. After your 3rd "free" service with them, the next time u want to service ur bike, bring to Ah seng @ 37 Motoring..

hi guys I'm new to this thread having just bought a used RS125. I was wondering where might be a good place I could bring my bike for general servicing (and repairs if and when required) quite outside of Mah. Any recommendations? Cheers.

As indicated by Mr QuiksLvr in the post above, u can drop by 37 Motoring and look for their boss which is Mr Ah Seng to do the necessary checking/svcing/overhauling for ur ride. Highly recommended mech by most riders here. Located at Eunos Technolink, near to Ideal Motor. :thumb:
