Alex, Ben, I see you're making a distinction between counter-steering on the track, and counter-steering on the road. I do see your point, but using the same term is unnecessarily confusing, especially since track and street counter-steering are essentially the same activity.

I suggest being more specific, eg, talking about "counter-steering for corner entry", or "counter-steering together with hanging off to turn fast enough during deep entry", etc. This isn't much more lor sor (long-winded), and helps us share info without pointlessly confusing people. It's saying what you mean. I know this is not a newspaper and I'm truly sorry if I come across as an old wet blanket, but you have more readers than you realise, and a little effort goes a long way.

IF i'm not wrong, it's ok to use 140 - 150

It's not wrong to use either size, even though stock is 150. It all rests on your handling preference. Many people, like Law, find the smaller tyres more flickable and predictable. Edmund likes smaller tyres for increased straight line speed from decreased rolling resistance.

hey bro... counter steer onli can do at high speed... those ppl who say n do so called "counter steer" are not.. i think u say 1 are those so called "counter steer" but is not.. n i think those doing counter at 30km/h r not counter steer

trust me its possible.. but its nvr practical.. let ur bike slowly roll into ur carpark instead of turning handlebar left to a left turn.. throw it right.. n i really mean throw it hard by abt 45 degrees.. ur bike will still drop into tt left turn but its a very stupid pointless ting to do theres no true purpose to it juz sum dumbass stunt u can try doing

Andrew, i've said before, don't need to learn counter-steering yet, not your gradual unknowingly countersteer, i'm referring to those techniques use to enter a corner at high speeds or clearing a chicane.Like alex said, practise basics first, when to brake, how much brake should be applied, eyeline, arms bent, riding posture, slow in fast out, don't stick to the apex(rem the kup chai line you took at jurong?).. everything from entering the bend to in the bend itself to exiting the bend must be calculated..improve on those first. I'm still learning myself as well, and i find i can't learn at a faster pace on roads due to multiple risk factors, besides alot of close calls and friends have been badly injured. That's why i'm dying to go track, but do not have the proper gear and bike set up.

That's why when i read that some of the new aprilia riders who had a accident a few weeks or days after their license,i am wondering how come? not as if a car hit you or something, mostly i feel is you guys not taking biking seriously, going round at high speeds and taking unecessary risks.Don't take this as a scolding, i got this as well when i talk to my group of frens who have been riding for donkey years. All about respect..yourself and your bike.

bro i get ur drift.. i dun alwaes force myself to counter steer ive doen it till i wanna make it a norm even when city riding. i oni talked abt it.. as benguin was saying hes bike can never corner unless he hangs off it tt's y i told him abt it n now he actually finds it fun doing it.. n yes im still practicing on my corner entry.. previously.. i alwaes had late entries as my balls were darn small.. but now ive been trying early entries into bends to such an extent tt if there was a very low signboard i might juz knock my head into it.. at the meantime also trying to pick up the correct amt of braking b4 entering a corner n 1nce ive got the hold of it ill try hanging my ass off.. anyway sumtimes when im feeling extra energetic or not lazy i still do practice hangin my ass off the seat ocassionally.. only to realise the corner wasnt tt sharp anyway (wad a fool..)

n chill man i dun alwaes remind myself to purposely countersteer oni brought it up coz sum1 asked..

p.s thx for those cornering tactics we were toking abt at alexandria chicken rice tt dae tt proved useful n made me start to do crazier stuff

dude, he passed!

now i'm looking for moi darn throttle cable...

tell me tell me.. which should i get??

70$ for a single OEM cable from MAH.

90$ for a OEM cables set with connector from WEDA

30$ for 3 pieces of aftermarket cables from WEDA

or should I get a 2nd hand?

btw, the one tat broke last nite was a aftermarket 1s, the build wasn't tat good.

which 1?? i'm on a very very tight budget.

i think the aftermarket throttle cables are as good..

i dunno why did i encountered hard pulling when i was using the aftermarket sets..

i took out the broken cable and the cable pull just fine..

i believe it must be due to mod work my mech did to my carb line which cause the unnecessary hard pullin..

so, the conclusion is.. the aftermarket 30$ throttle cables set are just as good.. and the length are the same..

the only downside is tat d curve pipe at the throttle is a little filmsy..
