i would like to know...if anyone wanna scrap his bike...i would like to trade my 3 spokes rim for a set of 5 spoke rim and ill top up cash....thanx..

from my 1mth of riding, i realise that the more you don't whack the bike the more easy the valve breaks? issit true? i have 2 friends riding RS125, both of them always whack the bike.. nothing happen to their valve, i normal riding never exceed rpm 7 valve can so easily break??

I seldom go above 6.5k rpm and I have absolutely no problem with my valve. I have only changed my valve because some stupid mechanic broke it when he was removing it to wash. So I wash my own valve from then on since.

 

This has NOTHING to do with whether you whack the bike or not.

 

Your 2T settings may be too low, and hence, the carbon buildup may cause the valve to jam in it's housing. When the valve motor tries to open / close the valve, it may be yanking the valve a little too hard and hance, breaking it. Just a theory.

 

But you ought to check what is causing your valve to break so often.

hmm.. thanks for the info.. my 2t is running on rich.. i gotta fill up a new bottle of 2t every week w/o fail..

guys, do enlighten me. im keen to get older RS125 like 98,99models.

but, i seriously feel that milo kong is an eyesore.

so if were to change to legal arrow, how much wld it cost?

1) Motul 710

 

2) riding style? mostly, mainly relax.. never exceed 7.5k rpm

 

3) fuel consumption no idea.. speedo spoil therefore no odometer.

 

4) valve broke twice now on 3rd valve, replacement from FM(2nd hand)

 

5) 2t aint leaking, ah seng put it on the rich side.. but i go close it a lil now can last slightly a week+ rather than every week the red lights appear..

I'm irritated that ppl who want this free help still want to question on his experience.

 

What can i say, this man took 4yrs to upgrade to a class2A bike, and he still hasnt let go of his love for 2strokes! I guess that means he no experience la.. :sweat:

Valve break possible cause :

 

1) Carbon Build up and jam ur valve thus leading it to break when ur valve pull it.

 

2) Someone Itchy hand go pull ur valve spring. Spring too tight, causes it to break.

 

3) Ur valve spring too soft. Too soft, valve cable have too much allowance... pull n break.

 

4) Ur Valve cable adjustment too tight or too loose. Have it adjsted by someone who knows. ( mechs usually dont know how to, even when they claim they know. )

 

5) Ur valve cable might not be fixed back properly.

 

 

I know all these because I changed a lot of valves when my RS125 time n learn the hard hard painful way.

Wait till I achieve my objective.... I will be back with a more powerful engine and a more sexy bike......

hais.. bad news guys.. i slided @ the entrance/exit to the seletar camp there.. from dam you exit to jalan kayu den the last right turn before you reach the round about.. i slided there.. whole person fly out and roll on the floor whole bike right side fairing come out, footrest all break, right signal dissapear, and mainly right side cosmetic damage.. heng nth much spoil.. for me.. wounds all over.. over 20 wounds.. :(

 

having difficulty in bathing right now :cry:
