carb: 06: dellorto without TPS, 07: got it

ECU: 02 units 1 for rave valve, 1 for ignition, 07: intergrated ECU (1 unit)

06: has rave valve complete (standard), 07; optional

Hey. Thanks. So 07 would be betta than 06 right ?

Bro, i just bought the bike how i know wat's the problem? Further more juz overhauled the bike even before i took it on the rd...

All my past bikes : rxz, 125z, kr, rxk & super4 all fully serviced by me. Nvr faced this problem before, furthermore aprilia is unique in so many ways in terms of it's engine design, materials used, unlike my previous japanese rides u can ask ard for help its dat easy to ask a common problem and get parts and ppl knows wer and wat the problem is..

For aprilia even bike shops also dun wanna touch or even take a look on the problem dats y i turn to dis forum to seek if anyone have encountered the same problem if there are; with guided steps, I would have done it myself.. Luckly for me, spiderman approach and offer his services and i'm looking forward to see and learn and i'm gonna give him a ear ache with my questions.. I dun care even if he's gonna charge me for consultation fees i'll happily pay...

And It's not about me using expensive plugs and expect them to last forerver.. I turn to them for performance wise.. All my bikes have been using them, and i got them cheap $12 for each piece.. I mentioned it on my post in a way of being precise so if I did made a mistake on size or type then i would have atleast save the time on ppl who's trying to help have a clearer picture wat plug specification dat i'm using..

I'm not as proficient in diagnosing problems over the internet. Spiderman knows his stuff. He'll be able to help you out, so go easy on the teenage angst.

If it's too lean a mixture it will melt the plug head. If it's a little on the rich side, or gear oil leaking into the cylinder, or coolant leaking through the head gasket, or a cylinder cap/O-ring at the plug that's come loose, the plug gets fouled up. I'm sure in your extensive experience you've seen the above symptoms having serviced so many different types of bikes. Me? I've only worked in a motordiam for a year, and on my own Aprilia for 4 years. Probably doesn't count for much. o_O

Hi Isa,

Thanks for the info!

Btw, just to supplement your map database, you can use the following too:

http://maps.google.com/

http://www.streetdb.com/

http://rednano.sg/

http://www.map.gov.sg/streetmap/

http://sg.pagenation.com/sin/

With so many map services, I just can't understand why it's so difficult to get directions in such a small country as Singapore, where we have only 3,262km of roadways (based on the CIA's factbook)

Btw, will conduct a DIY on 05 Aug Tue 11am. Do drop by if you can make it.

hi just to share something... last time my neutral gear is very hard to get. Once the bike is running, the oil gets hot, it's virtually impossible to get neutral gear at traffic light. Only way is to off on engine, then the gear will be loosen and easy to kick.

my biting point was very near, and after some simply researching, changing the biting point further makes it easier for me to get neutral.:bounce:

Thanks for sharing.

Perhaps a different gear oil won't cause the clutch to stick so badly.

Isa,

Sorry, would like to start later but have too many errands to run later in the day. Will be rejetting to slightly richen my mixture (to test a theory), changing my head cowling bracket, and bleeding my brake fluid. Next DIY perhaps? :cheeky:
