I like to have kopi session, but not drinking kopi per se, as I am sensitive to caffeine, but having a drink during a kopi session.

 

If I'm having a beer I won't ride.

 

Also, I've been getting random questions about the bike from people I don't know and even though I have the answer I won't bother answering them because I am not your walking encyclopaedia. Kids these days have absolutely no respect. You want information, show up for DIY or kopi sessions and learn it for yourself. I do not support spoon-feeding. Find another teat. I also do not condone misinformation so those who like to spread the common misconceptions and proliferate stupidity, please don't whine when I berate you.

Thought it wouldn't be dangerous asking for your number from yag, since we've been very close friends for the past 1 year so there's obviously no trust issues + and also since we're all meeting next weds (tentative).

 

But surely he doesn't give out numbers like flyers!

 

 

Why don't we all begin suggesting where to meet for 'kopi'. Previously meetups had a tendency to be at Al-Ameen (although honestly i'm an Al-Azhar fan). If we chose west side (i think i'd enjoy a longer ride since i'm coming closer to selling my bike) a lot of the west-siders have NO EXCUSE for not showing up.

I'm ok with anywhere, SG is too small anyway. Takes us 30min at the most to get from one end to the other end of the island, not like my friends overseas - they travel for a few hours (minimum) interstate, just to visit friends or relatives.

 

I would like to have it at my place, where the kopitiam is close to the MSCP, and we can have kopi and adjourn to see and DIY bikes. But I think my place in Macpherson (central of SG) is a little hard to find (going by the complaints from many riders in the past), so East or West is best.

Those who dunno how to get there really need to see streetdirectory.com then note it down on a piece of paper and stick it onto their tanks. That's what I did when I rode up to AMK like 2 weeks back. Before that, never did I have to go AMK at all.

That's what I do too. I note all the turns and exits and write them down in sequence, then stick the paper to my tank.

 

But we cannot expect everyone to be like ourselves. Kids these days are too used to being spoonfed, and have no initiative. So better to make it easier, either West Coast Mac, East Coast Mac, or Changi Village.

For now, the kopi on 1 April will be at 7pm West Coast Mac. Cya there.

I think I'd better stop asking people over for DIYs then. Don't want them to get lost and never be heard of again... Imagine them sprawled along the curbside dying of thirst, trying to read the street directory. A terrible way to go. hahaha

 

Maybe they need to redo their NS, but for 2 years just repeat navigational training with map and compass. lol
