I will be in Paris for a few days from 28 May.

Those of you who wish to get something from Dainese, do check out the D-store Paris webby, or if you can't read French, check out http://www.dainese.com/uk_en

Then let me know the item, size, and color that you'd like to get.

If the Paris store has stock for it, I will get it for you.

I will be buying some helmets back.

So far, my girlfriend is the only person in Singapore who owns a Dainese helmet. I will buy 1 for myself. If you want to join the exclusive club of Dainese helmet owners, let me know the model, color and size.

Feel free to sms me at 90819020 to inform me of your items.

Those ordering helmets, jackets, gloves, or any items above S$100 in value, please transfer 50% of the price stated on the website to my account. Of course, if no stock, I will refund you once I return from my trip, on the 3 May.

Account number is POSB Savings 153-18587-5.

After transfer has been made, sms me at 90819020 with the following details:

1. nick

2. name

3. your account number that you transferred money from

4. amount transferred

5. item requested

So far the tentative items are:

1. Lawrence - Verbier Pelle Goretex leather jacket / £620

2. Lawrence - Hogan-S IMP raincoat / £80

3. Lawrence - D181 Classic Lucky / £139.99

4. Lawrence - D181 Metallic Plate / £139.99

5. Lawrence - D181 Seventy / £139.99

Hi Aprilians, i wan ask regardin this sale : Aprilia RS 125cc

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=285293

Imo, its a goin 10yr old bike, FU plate, 33k milage (resetted?)

Was thinkin ask seller go Planet Motor do Checkup (heard no cost?)

Also wan ask regarding this points:

- RS 125 maintenance is more costly den Phantom?

- fuel efficiency 1L - ??

- any other things to take note for 1st time riders?

The shockers are conked and need to be replaced

New 1s to replace how much?

Right turn indicator (rear) arm is broken, held together by wire.

How much to repair n replace?

The COE expires on 09 November 2011 (Can renew)).

How to chk really can be renewed?

Thks in advance :)

Maintanence is simple for most bikes.

Change gear oil once a month (if you can afford it) or every 5k KM

Change spark plug every 10k KM

Top up using fully synthetic 2T when its low

Check tyre pressure once a week

Clean your chain then lube it when you deem fit

Check brake fluid and top up when you deem fit

Change brakepads when you deem fit

- fuel efficiency 1L - ??

Typically its around 20-28km/litre

- any other things to take note for 1st time riders?

Enjoy the ride and post here if you have any problem. Dont blindly juz go any shop to service the bikes and listen to the mechanic talk **** and kenna chop for no apparent reason

The shockers are conked and need to be replaced

Dont bother with the stock rear shock. Buy at least a bitubo which is servicable unlike the stock one. It should cost around 600-800 bucks

Right turn indicator (rear) arm is broken, held together by wire.

How much to repair n replace?

Go buy new signal light

Hey bro, if u interested then pm me your contact no and i see whether we can share the shipping so try to lower the cost. :D

I think you can go ahead first. Haven't decided what I'm going to do with the bike yet. I've got a SP sitting around the house too, so I'm riding that currently. Still more keen on dropping in a larger CC engine. Wonder if I can get the engine from a RGV or NSR250 in. Ideally I'd put in the RS250's engine though.

few guys @ aprilia uk n af1 forums have succesfully fix (IIRC) Rotax 257 engine coz the mountings are similar to our 122 engines.maybe if u can get a rotax 257 engine u can try that.

edit: found this page originally in french abt a 1998 RS with Rotax 257 (250cc) engine:

http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g154/xxes123/Wossner-New-Pic.jpg

Wössner are regarded by Europe’s leading motor sport engine builders as being the piston of choice when building an engine not only to perform, but to withstand the stresses and duress’s of competition life.

Wössner pistons feature a unique Moly coating on the skirts and a grade of 4032 Alloy (T6) which allows the engine builder to run a closer piston to bore tolerance then he might do on another make of piston. This helps remove the slapping noise during cold start, common place among engines running forged pistons due to larger then OE bore clearances.

The crowns of the pistons are also mirror polished to better resist detonation on a high performance engine. Mirror polishing allows a more even spread of heat inside the chamber which will help prevent “hot spots” on piston crowns

Any reviews on this piston????
