As indicated by Mr QuiksLvr in the post above, u can drop by 37 Motoring and look for their boss which is Mr Ah Seng to do the necessary checking/svcing/overhauling for ur ride. Highly recommended mech by most riders here. Located at Eunos Technolink, near to Ideal Motor. :thumb:

Good man. Will check out 37 as recommended. Cheers!

Anyone has any experience with mounting a Sprint steering damper (side mount) on their RS125? I just did that on mine but somehow am not entirely happy with the mounting location, although I am having tremendous difficulty finding an optimum location where the movement of the damper is not obstructed or impeded in any way. Pix would be superb and very much appreciated!

eh guys. got a stupid qn. where to hang helmet ah? the pillion seat of the 06 model onwards can open nt? i cant seem to find a place to hang helmet. heh.

The new model doesn't come with helmet hooks. I've seen some guys bring big locks and lock them helmets on the pillion footrest hangers after placing the helmets in helmet bags. The pillion seat is removable with allenkeys though. But i doubt u can hook the helmet anywhere there dude.

Whoa first time i see a damper mount that way. CooL.. How does the handling feel? One of my friends did a mount on the left side. But must drill a hole on the frame to accommodate the mount. Sorry i don't have pics of that.. :(

Also, the neutral is very hard to find. need to keep going up and down gear one and two several times before can get neutral.

I've found that it's MUCH easier to find N by going up to gear 2, then half tap down to N (rather than the usual half tap up from gear 1).

I note from earlier posts about 37 Motoring as the destination of choice for servicing etc. Before reading that, I was pretty certain I was going to pay Unique Motorsports a visit. I like how they seem to have got themselves a pretty good rep and have clearly laid out what their top overhaul package includes and its price (http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/234948-Top-Service-Top-Overhaul-Packages-for-Honda-NSR150-SP-NSR150-RR-TA150?p=4626153&viewfull=1#post4626153.

Anyone here been to both 37 and Unique, and rates one over the other?

$250 for a 2ndhand carb? Most people sell a old 34mm carb for 150 to 200 tops. Unless it's practically brand new.

I recommend getting a brand new one from xxes123 from the forum here. $350 if i'm not wrong. Brand new, not leaking, everything working. And best part, not years old, and still nice and shiny, not old and worn down.

Just my 2 cents. I dont think it's worth it, even though it looks detailed. In all my years of riding, I have never ever believed in this top servicing nonsense. For what? Why open up a perfectly working bike? You run in the bike to get a solid compression, then you **** it up by opening up everything to service? What's the point??

It's not going to increase your compression, not going to benefit your bike in anyway. That's what i think. I may be wrong, i dont know.

I'm stupid, i just do the neccessary for my bike.

Wash valve once a month - $25

Wash carb and tune once every 2-3 months - $30-35

Flush coolant once every 6 months - $20 excludes coolant

Bleed brakes once every 6 months - $31 including brake fluid.

Prices are from 37 motoring.

When i feel my piston is getting weak, low compression, i change the whole damn thing. I dont waste time with cleaning this crap and that. :)

Cheers

Thanks Sub Zero for the insight. Very useful info.

TBH, I probably fit in the category of RS owners that might get duped into getting unnecessary things done by dodgy service people just because I want to give my RS the best care I can. So having someone with years of RS ownership experience giving some feedback is most appreciated.
