Yup. Just peer underneath your riders seat. The whitish box there. Shake your bike a little and see if theres any liquid inside. Alternatively, the more common way of checking is to see if the Red Exclamation mark on the speedo pops up:D

thanks man! what 2t oil you guys recommend?

Take care bro~ Have a good GREEN fun at taiwan :) See ya in May'

Thank you my friend, planning for a 60-80km rounding session with stops for frozen yoghurt and coffee when I'm back! Heheh. We'll see.

You guys stay safe.

When the winds resist my impetus and sights become passing shadows. Every other sound is voided, all but the undeniable roar of my engine.

My physical vision recepts naught, but my mind is tranquil.

I see my inner soul.

I just read through the thread again, I remember reading it years ago! And guess what, i actually saw my post in that thread as well!!! Woooo... Noob Sub Zero sia... Haha..

But in any case, that chap never finished the bike, what a shame... It's not impossible to do such a thing, having a dual caliper set up but it's not easy as well. You cant just drop a RSV4 front fork in and hope it fits. The only person I know who actually researched it, and tried it is xxes123.

We were just talking about it today as well, and he's considering trying it again as he has the ohlins forks and OZ rims that are equipped to be fitted for a dual caliper setup... Haiz.. Wish i had the money for more outlandish mods! My bike is stock as a rock. :)

haha i saw ur post too... at least he done it up to like 80% which is kinda impressive.. though there are like few mitos out there with the 350 setup.

On the side note, I am extremely dissatisfied! I can't get the kick out of my ride, switching to premix unleashed the torque demon I am, I want power that is barely tame'able Im begging the 34mm to satisfy me for abit more. That nasty slow on the 5-6k turns me green as well! When I'm back I have a list of things to do.

I am falling into the deep pithole of a 1k cc bike. I'm gonna pull a rsv4 or duc out almost the moment I'm given the green light. May my financial management skills serve me well for the following year.

Interesting sidenote dDtim. I see from your avatar that you've got a 08 Spain's No. 1 version like me. Have you installed the powervalve kit? I checked my bike last night and confirmed once and for all that I have no powervalve or solenoid (and that I'm still on the standard VHST 28mm carb). I'm now faced with the difficult decision of leaving her as she is (pro: reliable and runs smooth, con: needs more grunt) or begin the de-restriction and carb upgrade process (pro: more grunt, cons: money and possible frequent visits to Ah Seng for tuning/fix-ups).

When you say you're extremely dissatisfied, do you mean that you feel the power upgrade you've made from your mods don't justify the cost you've spent? Or that the power upgrades have caused the bike to become a lot more high maintenance?

As for the temptation of bigger bikes, I completely agree. I'd love to own a Duc (848 Evo with Termis will do me fine) eventually but there is also the draw of the insanity that is the RSV4 Factory. Whenever I think of spending more money on my RS, I can't help but think that I am probably better off saving that for a bigger bike.

Another thing we lack: space. Just browsing at the overseas forums, most of them have their own garage that nearly resembles a workshop.it makes things easier to fix ur own bike instead of going down to the shops.I envy my eldest bro in Melbourne who's garage is large enough to fit his 2 cars and he does his own servicing too..

Hmmm... Space...

My English friend who stays near Lancaster in the United Kingdom recently bought a country house and barn, absolutely beautiful piece of estate with 8 acres of open farmland (that's about the size of 3 hectares, or the size of THREE FOOTBALL FIELDS) for £730,000. That's SGD 1.3 million dollars.

In Singapore, you'd be lucky to find a 2,000 sq ft condominium at that price.

If I had a garage I'd service Aprilia bikes as a hobby!

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.

omg dun get me started on this. If i had a garage, id be in heaven man. Id do overhauls every other day. lol. Bt seriously the convenience of stripping everything down and not having to worry about fixing it back up and pushing the bike to the multi storey carpark would make things a hell load easier. Arghh. Wish i was staying in private house. As it is, my bedroom is already filled with all my dads old tools which i dug up from the store since i started DIY-ing. And its only been a few mths. Wonder what its gona be like in a year. lol

save up for ur big bike man.. parts are freaking expensive for our bikes... and one thing about modding ur bike is like eatting pringles *once u start u cant stop. in ur case if u gonna get new carb valves solenoid cdi cable n stuff.. probally set u back about 1k ?? with that amount of mod the most brings u about additional 20-30km faster in top speed i guess... not that worth .. definitely more mods will cause more probs if not deal properly and also higher maintaince *like washing of valve unless u DIY.

Vyrus, I think at the end of the day, no matter how much you spend on your RS 125, it will still be a 125cc. If you want a faster bike, upgrading your class would be a wiser choice. You will always lose money if you upgrade parts for the RS and then have to sell the bike one day to free up cash and/or space for your litre bike. As for our parts being expensive, yes they are, but if compared to a litre bike, especially a Ducati, I'm positive the cost will be much less the same, or more for bigger capacity bikes as I am inclined to believe. So if you're the type who will always be itching to upgrade parts on your bike, doing so on an RS will cost a lot less than doing so on a Ducati. However, like I said, a 125 will always be a 125, and should never be compared to a litre bike.

Hi guys! To those who ordered the spare key!

I've already made payment and af1racing has already deduct the money from my bank account.

So for those who ordered the normal keys, its $9 EACH + $1.7 shipping per person.

Lawrence and Ardian who ordered the #8104613 would be $12.60 EACH.

1. AEoM (2 keys) $18 + $1.70 = $19.70

2. Darkz (2 set) $18 + $1.70 = $19.70 p

3. Lawrence (3 keys) #8104613 $37.80 + $1.70 = $39.50 p

4. shaas_no1 (2 sets) $18 + $1.70 = $19.70

Nicholas,

Thanks for helping everyone here pay upfront. :)

Will transfer you ASAP. :) I hope everyone else can do so as well.

Last, but not least, guys, please note we're not authorised to conduct MOs without approval of the moderators in this forum. The section for MOs to be conducted is the PMOs. Same goes for advertisers advertising their products in this thread. They have their own board too.

I just re read the rules in the main sportsbike thread(it's a sticky) and was also graced by a phonecall from a friendly moderator. Just to reinterate, these threads, including ours is purely for Discussion only. Which is why i've respected the mod's request and refrained from posting any details of my MO here and been contacting you guys via other means. The next MO i do to PJME will be through the proper channels in the PMO section. This time, I'm quite far along already, going to make payment, so I've decided to forgo the proper steps.

I hope we all can source for better deals together, and next time conduct our MOs in the proper channel. It's the onus of all of you guys and myself included to let someone who doesnt know the proper procedure actually inform them next time. :) And I hope everyone's who's read this post know what to do from now on. :)
