What are the difficulties that you face with all 3 fuses being 20? Any point of time where u cant start your bike due to battery not charging properly?

Yes the battery did not really charge when I did not use the recommended fuse. Nearly died when I decided to change the fuse to the recommended number. It helps!

ah seng does not have the 7.5 in stock.... hardware stores got sell right the fuses?

Yesh, pls do change to these settings. Fuses are there to prevent over surge of electrical power to the appliances. Just ask ah seng to change for you~ cheap cheap nia'

Alternatively, you can buy a very good and reliable battery charger that not only charges your bike battery but also reconditions it to as good as new.

Usually batteries are not fully and properly charged when newly installed at ANY workshop because it takes a long time for the initial charge to complete and no shop actually can afford the time to do so. So the battery is installed half-charged. Already weakened and damaged, and since the charging from riding the bike isn't strong enough to charge the batt to its maximum charge to prolong its life, most bike batteries die within 1-2 years.

If you constantly recondition your battery, it can last for 5-7 years or more, delivering a strong current all the way.

Wa.. I was riding at 100km/h just now. It feels like my TZM's 120km/h sia.. The meter 100% accurate?

When I was at my top speed of 200km/h on my meter, my GPS showed that my actual speed was 185 km/h. Just another bit of useless info... when I tested top speed with a KRR150, the KR rider told me his meter was reading 220km/h. Take our speed readings with a pinch of salt lah... hahaha... No meter is 100% accurate.

Only accurate way to measure is to have 2 guys separated at a fixed distance and take timing from Point A to Point B, then you'll get your actual speed.

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.

I loving this thread.. heheh.. Btw, i've got some things to clarify. I started riding up to 7000rpm since 600km of my mileage and i top at 110km/h only. Never go up to 8000rpm. Now my mileage is 800km and the "tool" signal already blink when i switch on. Is it normal? Or do i like damage my bike? :X I hope i'm not. I asked a few experienced riders about following the "rules" of not going above 6000rpm for first 1000km. They say its okey to go above, just dont go above 7000km for first few gears.

The spanner tool sign is just advising u to go for a servicing. Nothing much. If I were u I would just go for it since u bought a new bike and they give free servicing.

Not sure abt the running in part. U have to wait for the old birds to ans tt. Haha!

Lacrimosae, were you riding behind an aprilia with a pillion at a jammed road today?

I was driving a car in bad traffic today, and didn't happen to seen any RS125's.

I did take my bike out for a nice whack at 6pm though, but didn't encounter any jams while riding.

Unless you saw a full black carbon-fibre faired bike with no headlights, no mirrors and no tail number plate fly by you at 180km/h along Victoria Street today and blasting the horn at pedestrians, I doubt you have seen me before.

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

305GBP plus shipping. Gona go premix and im thinking of dumping my boyeseen reeds. Feel like trying the tyga carbon fibres. I like the idea of it having 6 petals compared to the boyeseens 4. Anyone tried them before?

Anyway vik, i promise once i get the tuning right u'll be the top few on the list to try it out =)

And check out this vid of the kit in action

If its gona be anything like this, im excited!

Looks impressive, but almost similar to the polini. 1 thing i realised is that when you change to a BBK, you need to change your sprocket settings. When it is the stock 40/17, it feels more like a scrambler than a sports bike, you need to shift up very fast.

Hope to see you install it and ride soon! Btw, i was charged 2.091 as exchange rate by DBS for the PJME order. Buggers.. Lucky, I predicted correctly. :)

Firstly, the meter on the new model is quite accurate in comparison to the TZM, KR, SP etc. Their meters are very optimistic, showing speeds of 220 to 240. :) I'm riding the older model aprilia, which has the speedo gear driven and it's the same speed as the new models up to 140 as I have paced uptil this speed before. Beyond this, I have not tried.

Japanese bikes take their speed reading from the front sprocket, so the speed goes haywire after any sprocket changes. The post 06 rs125, rsv1000 read their speed from a sensor attached to the rear brake caliper bracket, and it's quite accurate, not independent on the sprocket settings. Take a look at your bike, you'll see the wire running from the caliper bracket, and going to join the main wiring loom. :)

Your engine should be fine, the spanner logo is a reminder for servicing. To remove it, google. easily done.

Lastly, where did you see this bike that you wanted to chase, what color was the full face helmet? :)

The spanner icon comes periodically according to the factory assigned service intervals in accordance to mileage accumulated. Where did you see this 'track rider'?

Have a feeling it's someone I know. Hehe.

I think I'll just go ahead with Ah Seng's cause I'm not prepared to wait for the shipping and all :\

Also I'm not prepared with the fact that my starter motor is spoilt and I need the bike ASAP. Public transport sucks (:

I ordered the starter motor with mesaboogie at pjme some time ago.. Replaced it at Ah Seng when he quoted me about the same for a second hand starter motor.. You might get my old starter motor as i 'donated' it there.. It still works fine just with a squeaky horn sound when you press the electric start.

First hand @ SG$130+ after conversion.

Ride safe..!
