VTeclee... dude.. try come when we have mini meetup in PG.. i wont mind sharing with u what i know ,which aint much but it helps in minimising any error the rider input on the bike causing it to be unstable..yes u heard it right ,many riders complain abt their bikes being unstable, wobbley this n that blah blah blah but 95% of the time its due to the way the bike was ridden. try this.. ride yer bike till a reasonable speed, lift hands off.. super stable right? now move any part of yer body a little, she wobbles... n guess who made her wobble? observe a rider struggling to control his bike when she wobbles during a tankslap once the rider is thrown off...the bike straightens up and goes straight smoothly till she loses momentum or hit a tyre wall then drops...

u have to work on yer track lines, gearing, braking points, exit points, reference points, head, body, elbows, throttle, knee, foot positioning..damn thats a lot to do for just 1 simple corner..n PG have 12 corners waiting to give u a massive headache..hahahan Sepang have 15 corners in which only 2 are medium n 1 slow speed the rest are frickking high speed corners in which we have like a split second to do all those stuff...so its gotta be practise n practise till it becomes 2nd nature..

hope u can join in when Sporting Motors have their fun in the sun session..oh even if it rains, i will take her to the track thats when the real fun begins even though at times it can make me piss in my suit..

cheers

haha larry .. i need to save up for a proper attire first. haha will try to go more often if time permits. sick to be a student in my age. haha. money and time are always the factor.

Count me in!! :D But will my engine easily damage if i try on track with constant high speed?

bro what do u think the wear n tear will be... haha yes if ur machine is not well maintain or u over do... u might end up with a blow piston, seizure?? anything can happen. but for sure wear n tear is high. plus nid to change tires regularly if u often track. haha...

Good point. Well, i may just wanna try at most 5 laps? A "torn tyre" is a good repo for me..hehe.. anyone who come and take a look at my tyre will like "eh! track rider sia!" haha! Engine wise, i definitely need to set it wisely. Things like 2T level for sure must go high. Since i'm new, i don't think i will go above 130km/h :X I just wanna feel the adrenaline rush. haha.

should consider spirit leathers line of suits. Affordable and best part, made to measure and customizable. Used my friends one before and must say the quality is quite good.

Teck Thye at Braddell. Mech is David. Quite good in tuning, i've ridden afew bikes tuned by him. Price is not cheap though. :)

Teck Thye is for those who have the money. Those on a lower budget can go to ah seng.

I'd say they're on par. :)

They both have different ways of tuning and different ideas of what is right.

And regarding price, if you're a regular at either, you'll get a good price for sure.

Agreed. At the end of the day, it depends on the rider.

can i just say that ah seng will not tune ur bike to perfection/max potential. His tuning method is to go the tried and tested way, and is very conservative, to say the least. Nt the man to go to for tuning. Bt then again, i strongly hold on to the belief that only u urself can/have the time/will bother to tune ur bike to perfection. That aside, workmanship wise and workshop ethics wise, hes top notch, the best among the workshops ive been to so far.

Yup, i agree with you on this Ash. Ah Seng plays it safe. You need to tell him what you want to get it. And in all regards, I think he's learnt alot from riders who are very fussy about their tuning like myself. :) If you want extra, you'll need to read up, and tell him what to do.

Dear Friends,

The first batch of items from PJME have arrived!! However, I'm due to receive another batch next week, as they're currently working on sending it out by this week. I will update again when it arrives and set a date for collection of items.

The first box i have has a ton of stuff, and it's going to be a headache to sort out. I'll be expecting something in return for my hard work. :)

Different people has different riding styles and objectives..

Some want power, some want torque, some want top speed, some want fuel economy, some want .....

There is no one size fits all jetting..

As a mech, he has to play safe as he will be held responsible if any seizure will to occur due to his tuning...

Unless the owner is willing to be responsible for any seizure and insist that he use a particular jetting size, he will not risk it..

There is also no such thing as perfect tuning as temp, air moisture content, fuel type/brand, 2T type, road type will change the tuning conditions.

Every type of tuning if push to the max for a particular riding style has its own limitation..

Its just what the style and limitation and sacrifices that one is willing to make..

Same with every type of carb, each has its pros and cons.. Be it a 28mm, 34mm or otherwise..

lacrimosae is the man to go to for tuning :)
