oh i see. erm if i'm did not remember wrongly, the first stainless steel pipe that came into Teck thye was for RX-Z from one of his contact, than from there the rs125 model is born. one piece without the removable collar after which the first bulk shipment came in with the removable collar. anyway i'm like saying motovation is the one that brought in gianneli. in my opinion ppl often forget who ever creates the item but only knows where to get it. cheers.. no offence.

I've conducted many tests and found the real problem. The dimensions are precise except for the curved section of the valve. This can be easily rectified by using 3 gaskets instead of one.

I know, I know!!! Can be quite a hassle for some which is why I am not selling the valves locally anymore unless someone doesn't mind putting 3 gaskets for the valve housing, which I will provide if you purchase the valves from me.

Grrr... Very irritating when the machinist over promises and under delivers. End up I have to pay the price.

ya and for the 3 gasket i was one of the experimental machines. u can either get 3 gasket or get a thick gasket. end of the day i highly recommend this valve. ease in cleaning and imptly the carbon dont bites into the material and with a rinse of petrol its as good as new.

I have never lost a stock R15

Correction to a correction - you have never lost to a stock r15.

Maybe because according to my previous r15 research(based on my initial interest to purchase one) the four stroker does a max speed of 150 give or take and that is with a 50kg rider weight

When the winds resist my impetus and sights become passing shadows. Every other sound is voided, all but the undeniable roar of my engine.

My physical vision recepts naught, but my mind is tranquil.

I see my inner soul.

Chill la bro.. I live on the streets and beg to earn a living so i can support my bike.. I'm a POOR MAN you know. :) I agree with you on 1 thing. Go to a mech you feel your bike will be in good hands. If the cost is high, but you walk away satisfied, why bother? You pay for the quality.

You live in a huge house and you earn a pretty good living giving tuition. Poor???

Hope people can support Koon, he's getting the valves at a good price. I assume they'll be arriving in the original Aprilia packaging? :)

I hope so! They should come in original Aprilia packaging if they're original.

This is interesting... I was under the impression you used your JL to be sent to thailand to be replicated and improved upon via TT's contacts. I thought YOU were selling the exhaust to TT, and 37 Motoring. Not the other way round. :)

When you say your valve was used, are you talking about your original valve or the replicated one you got manufactured with the tests you did to find out the type of material etc. (STM test or something??))

Retailer, reseller... Lol, lots of interesting terms.. So Law, can we now established the fact you're a RESELLER?? Would like to join my enterprise, SubZero Motorsports??? SZM specialises in bringing in parts and accessories for only a MARGINAL profit which will be made transparent to the consumers?

What say you? :)

Vik, stop trying to push my buttons lah. It won't work cos you always get your facts wrong so often, its laughable... If you really want to retain your credibility, try to get a few things right... heh

I've never used my Lim Lomas to replicate the stainless steel exhaust. It has been installed on my bike the whole time until I recently swapped it for the stainless steel exhaust.

The exhaust used for the replication was my old Arrow I left there after I changed my exhaust to the Jim Lomas. I did say the improvements made to the exhaust makes it look a lot like my Jim Lomas, having a narrower expansion chamber but with a longer length to retain the volume. But I never said I used my JL for replication.

You were right that the exhaust was sent to and worked on by Teck Thye's contact in Thailand.

I am selling the exhaust through 37 Motoring.

The valve that is used as the source of the dimensions has to be the original Rotax valve. Not the Polini valve, not the German CNC-machined valve, but the original valve I bought from WEDA a long time ago. It came in the original Aprilia packaging.

The valve was sent to STS metallurgy test to determine the make-up of the alloy.

I will partner with SZM only if I can split the marginal profits as beer money! hahaha...

I'll buy u a keg bro! What say you? :D

Well, David and I wanted to get the valve tested and replicated a long time ago. Same thing with the exhaust. But the original idea was to get the exhaust replicated in titanium in China. Titanium can allow the exhaust to be made thinner and lighter without sacrificing the strength, but the costs would be prohibitively expensive. So stainless steel was chosen instead.

Anyway, I honoured my side of the deal to just sell the items since it was a joint effort, but since everyone seems to be on a roll to discuss business dealings openly, I also can't keep letting people try to smear my name by throwing false claims around. Can't blame you for opening your gap since David himself likes to talk once he's drunk. And I'm sure he didn't have any agreement with you about whatever business collaboration took place, so you can't be held responsible for spoiling his market for him. For me it's simple, I contributed the ideas, I keep my end of the deal to resell the items to other shops or end consumer. But since David gapped, I'm better off not doing any sales at all. Too bad for David, his best customer is also his worst market spoiler. Ironic.

Am using 2 x 1.5mm gaskets to bring the valve slightly further out, and it works perfectly. What a difference 3mm makes...

I have to agree that the valve is really well-made and the coating really does keep the carbon from sticking. But because the claims are quite far-fetched, not many believes it is true. Maybe you should make a video of you cleaning the valve to demonstrate the ease of cleaning.

I've also recently heard someone comment that David must be drinking too much to be making crazy claims like that...

Dear aprilla riders..i just got my RS125 yesterday. i wish to know what is the run in requirement for my bike. keep below 6000 rpm?

Keep it below 6,000rpm before bike is warmed up. Once warmed up, you can move off but keep it below 8,000rpm.

Hi guys, to those reading the Aprilia thread, theres sth i wana say. I know i put my number up in the threads and in the forums but if possible please refrain from sms-ing and calling me to ask stuff about ur bikes. If theres sth u would like to ask please pm me on the forum, and i'll be more than happy to answer them to the best of my abilities. To date i dont think i have ignored anyones pm to me so u can be assured i will respond as soon as i have the time. Reason number one being that its 10times easier to type an explanation rather than sms-ing. Also, my number is for personal use so id appreciate if u respect my privacy. All this of course do not apply to those whom i know personally and have met before or if i personally ask u to contact me. cheers =)

Telling others that Motovation brings in Gianelli is not the issue here. I'm sure everyone knows that. I know it's not easy for you to be able to put yourself in the shoes of others and understand the situation, but when you have people saying certain things about you that isn't true and you have to constantly set the facts right, it doesn't help that someone else is adding to the misinformation.

I have always been against misinformation. Because once a certain idea catches on, if it is wrong, it will be very hard to correct, like myths about tuning, carburetion, some mechanics being seen as gods but treat bikes like worthless junk.

I've always hoped that riders here can continue to share important knowledge that will help others and I do hope you can be a part of the movement.
