I did not buy the bike yet as the seller said that it would be delivered in road worthy condition.

Yes, I cringed when i saw the mechanic open up the right side casing of the engine and started using WD40 all over it.

Current status is that they have indented a new starter motor and would take a week to arrive. I have a bad feeling other components such as carb would be a goner too considering the long layup and the more the mech works on the bike the more it gets destroyed :/ Kinda feel the heartache seeing a nice stock bike getting ruined.

Well let's just hope that it's only the starter motor having an issue, and the rest of the bike being complete and working. If you are new to bikes, it's better to get someone with you to view it, as there are many lemon Italian around, especially in shops.

I went to Pan Euro before, IMO the in charge there is very approachable and nice, easy to strike a conversation with. You should talk to him to find out more.

Cheers

That huge property you live in... :p hahahahahaa

And I heard someone is buying Edwin's SP rims so now I have no choice but to order a set for myself online instead.... o_O

Koon, Caleb and Chris (iirc) are interested to overhaul their bikes themselves. Since Ashraf already intends to do so, we can have 4 bikes overhauling at once. Imagine the photo opportunity! haha...

We just need to start early though, so we can work through any issues carefully. We should start opening the bikes at 7.30am, daybreak. Then we have ample light for working through the day. We should aim to finish by 3-4pm. If we need to extend the time, we have 3 hours extension until sunset.

LOL

Hey bro, Edwin told me you passed on them so I decided to grab them. :) I was considering them for sometime when he told me, but you werent sure too i guess. You can still find them online? :)

In any case, thanks for explaining about the valve and sorry if i stepped on your toes. :)

I'd love to come and see this 4 bike top overhaul.

I'm will be doing a btm overhaul. 4 bikes overhauling together at the same time sounds good. At the very least, we can help each other :) Recently i have been pondering about where exactly to do my overhaul. Definitely need some place with good shelter from the unpredictable weather. Any ideas in mind?

I have a secure location in mind. You can even leave the bike there, it's completely safe. But only 1 bike at a time. 1st day rental is $100. :)

I have a really nice place in mind! Large private landed property, with some shelter, located in central region of Singapore, like Yio Chu Kang for instance.

Jokes aside, the best place is a large sheltered area, it could be the basement carpark of a condominium, or the porch of a landed property (sans the owner's car), or void deck of an HDB flat where it is well lit (some hdb void decks are very poorly lit even during the day).

And yes, you will want exhaust spring pullers. Trust me. 2 hours fitting back 2 springs is no joke. I wanted to strangle someone.

I wonder where you're refering to. :)

I changed my bearings because my bike was vibrating while moving. Anyway, if you are thinking of changing the conrod, might as well changed the bearings as well. Since you will still need to open up yr crankcase, pull yr crankshaft out. Just change everything with a one time effort :)

BTW, does yr carpark have electrical point and water point?

Okay cause im just finished studies and waiting for ns so need to grab a pt job or something, see how much it costs.

Yes for water and ive got the key to the hose so 'free' HAHA electrical point i go check again :/

Yup the ppl at pan euro is pretty ok. The bike doesnt belong to the shop. Its a private seller that laid up his bike at the shop for half a year and now the battery is dead and the starter motor is all rusty. I think the carb will probably need some work too considering the lay up period.

Hi,

Can i use the standard airbox for 34mm ?

Yea, just gotta change the inlet manifold to the 34mm one.

The stock will work but not all aftermarket air filters will fit.

When the winds resist my impetus and sights become passing shadows. Every other sound is voided, all but the undeniable roar of my engine.

My physical vision recepts naught, but my mind is tranquil.

I see my inner soul.

Thanks, but is there a big differences between the stock airbox and aftermarket air filters ?

Hey bro, Edwin told me you passed on them so I decided to grab them. :) I was considering them for sometime when he told me, but you werent sure too i guess. You can still find them online? :)

Edwin told me that the one of the rim is chipped and they being 10 year old magnesium rims, I had to find out more about powder coating and magnesium corrosion (magnesium reacts extremely quickly to air and corrodes very quickly), whether it was viable to redo the powder coating etc. I told him I'd decide later but when I told him I'd pay for the rims he said you're buying them.

Been trawling the different ebays ever since - UK, USA, Italy. They're hard to find and costly too - Anywhere from US$300-600 excluding shipping.

In any case, thanks for explaining about the valve and sorry if i stepped on your toes. :)

Please don't make me explain one more time. Tiring leh. You owe me a beer for that already.

I'd love to come and see this 4 bike top overhaul.

I can't wait for it to happen. It would be AWESOME...

A secret location with a nice house with sheltered porch and good makan nearby.

Yes.

Hmm, He didnt tell me about the chip in one of the rims.. Must remove to see. I took a look at it today, it looks to be in horrible condition, covered in dust and cobwebs.. Will be asking Ah Seng to remove it for me to take a closer look, and get it cleaned up. If it's that bad, I would probably pass too. :) I'm already made arrangements to get it resprayed soon. I think he got it resprayed before, not powder coated. Also thes Mag rims are an alloy or probably covered with another layer of metal or its oxide. If it was pure Magnesium, it would even last on the road. It'll very soft, and reacts immediately with water and air like what you said.

I found a pair for £200 without shipping.

I also found the SP version kickstarter for £90. And a brand new frame and swingarm for £300.

Am thinking of buying all 3 items and getting them all shipped in the same box. I have to go to London to settle it. A bit troublesome but might be worth the trouble.

It's worth the trouble, I recommend you get it. Btw, when's your next flight to London? I might want some stuff. :)

Noted Boss. My number is 93352445.

Moving along, I have good news and bad news..

Good news: The 2nd and last batch of PJME items arrived this morning.. Yiipppeeee!!! Spent the day sorting out all the items for you guys.

Bad news: For those who ordered the Fuel pipe big bore, there is no stock. Will refund your money.

For those who ordered the quick release connectors, only ONE arrived due to an error on my part. You can either choose to refund your money or wait till july when I will order it again for you. And lastly, some items are missing, but only mr liquidy is affected. I will be emailing PJME about this and we see what happens.

Alright... Collection will be at my place this thursday night at 10.30PM. Will sms those who ordered my address soon. If you are unable to make it, please SMS me to make other arrangements. Also take note, I will be only keeping the items for one week as of this thursday, after which they'll be 'lost'. I have too much stuff cluttering up my house already!! So if your stuff gets lost, too bad. :) Chrissady and Liquidy, please come in a car or cab. You ordered alot of stuff, and i've placed your items in separate boxes.

Lastly, I would appreciate gifts in the form of beer, cigarettes, and for the cheapskate, a bottle of ice lemon tea. Thanks!

Lastly,

I think we should posts the knowledge that we learned on facebook as archive. In other words, lets try to revive it :)

Mate, that's a brillant idea. I always thought about that.

I recommend you set up a new page, that looks horrible, and put yourself as the admin to filter out the rif raff. Then add the fellows from this old page. :)
