I noticed that the red warning light has appeared only when my temperature sensor falls to zero (not even one bar) and the temperature icon is blinking.. But at certain times, it shows readings of 2 or 3 bars.. If my temperature sensor has failed, how can it show 2 or 3 bars at times? Shudnt it be a constant zero all the way?

Have you ever had earphones that suddenly stop working, but work intermittently when you wiggle the wire a bit? :) I think you might have this issue with your coolant temperature sensor. When the sensor doesn't work, the bars drop to zero, and when it does, it shows the correct temperature. Maybe a loose wire, loose connection or the like.

Having read this forum post, I'd say start with the hypothesis that you have a loose sensor connection. If I'm right, the connection is shown in the red circle below. I'm basing this off the cooling system diagram posted in my follow-up post below, which may be outdated - I can't say for certain now that my bike is no longer with me.

Try this and let us know how it turns out. If it doesn't work, my next hypothesis is that your sensor is faulty, and you should get the sensor replaced to fix the problem.

Matey, by now, you should know what each light signifies. :cool:

See the pic below for reference. It's also in the manual.

I believe the low fuel light comes on when you're hitting the reserve fuel (3.5 litres left). Might sound like a lot but may not get you very far depending on your fuel consumption. Time to put some fuel in, I'd say.

Don't play chicken with the low fuel indicator. I had a friend who tried that and lost, and had a panic session thinking the bike broke down on him.

off record, side track & quick question;

Will Starhub be allowed to advertise in M1/Singtel website?

Or simpler saying, whats the rational that Starhub don't advertise in M1/Singtel?

**can be any other company but just using their names***
