How bout the softest, stickiest compound of MotoGP rain tires? You can even ride up a vertical wall with them... heh heh...

 

I'm sure you can corner through a filter lane full speed ahead!

 

But for more sensible budget tires, Vik the Boss recommends BT003s... Cheap and good. Very sticky I heard.

Bridgestones BT090... value for money, fine balance for (wet or dry) road & if u decide to take to the track (not bad for dry but good for wet track),it can serve its purpose too...

 

Dunlop Alpha 12 or Bridgestone 003.. good too but in the wet, might exp a little aquaplaning.... if u decide on 003 , get the H rating, its good enuff for road... dont get the more ex ZR rating, u just scrubbing yr money on road tarmac, H & ZR have no difference in normal daily riding.

What is the difference between big bore kit and bigger carburetor(34mm)? Have been confuse about it coz to my understanding bigger carburetor gives more power and also increase the fuel consumption(lesser mileage per litre), while big bore kit increases the engine capacity which in turn give more power and also ended up increase the fuel consumption(lesser mileage per litre)??

 

So if I were to change both it will give alot more power and at the same time eats up alot more fuel per km?

using a 34mm carb or using big bore kit doesnt not really increase the fuel consumption(lesser mileage per litre) provided you tune the carb correctly.

 

34mm carb has the larger venturifor for the fuel to follow more into the reed block and finally into your block. correctly tune carbs can still give you better or more milage.

 

big bore kit has a bigger displacement on the CC of the amount of fuel being in the combustion chamber resulting in more power. but then again... the big bore kit does not necessarily work well with the 28 mm carb.

 

i would suggest you go for the 34mm carb first to feel the power of the bike and than decide on the big bore kit. anyways the 34mm carb is half the price of the big bore kit. my 2 cent would also be to change the reeds or the complete reed cgae to vf3 or boyesen.

 

it all boils down to what kind of a machine do you wan your Rs to be.... an freaking monster with loads of top end or a RS "scrambler".....

Am considering to change to 34mm carburetor but not so soon, maybe 2 months later.. But I don't really know what else that I need to change.. Basically the previous owner told me that he have change most of the items just left the carburetor he didn't change. So far I only know that he have change the air filter to BMC open port(but its a small one), reed valve, cdi modded, arrow full system.. Other than these I don't think there is anything else he did but he told me left carburetor to change only.. So for a start to have slightly more power, is it true that I will need to change the carburetor to the 34mm one only? Or I still need to change additional things?

 

I don't quite understand this part that you have mentioned 'my 2 cent would also be to change the reeds or the complete reed cgae to vf3 or boyesen'.. And also what is the reed valve that the previous owner had changed? Possible to enlighten me a bit?? thanks =)
