second to sixth gear racing, racing moulded sprocket, fast throttle,

racing CDI(imported), racing rims (used to cost 3.5k at ideal?) yes...

damper... racing footrest (original aprilia)

price... ok... its a joke...

4plus k with the sh*t... n 3k plus without... i'm crazy... i noe...

but i tink i've outgrown the bike... n there's nothing i can do with her animore...

jus hope one of the aprilia guys got it...

one setback though... it drinks fuel... haha...

Have an Aprilia RS125 for sale.

Fairly good condition. Owner has been caring for it like a baby. Due to unforeseen changes in job, the owner is now moving overseas.

Call me for details. I do not come online often, so those who PM me, good luck. i will not entertain enquiries online, either through PM or on the Aprilia thread.

Buzz me at 9863 2724. And call me Lawrence, not lacri.

Both works fine, actually. Just that if you call me 'lacri', it usually takes 3 seconds to register.... hehehehe

i like the two bird.......... so cutek:cheeky: :offtopic:

Is that a riddle?

Would you like to have 2 birds too? I would gladly flip you 2 birds, and I'm pretty sure many others here would gladly help you with that too. Right, Galen?

Anyway, there's no such word as cutek. The closest would be Q-tip, which is a cotton-tipped swab.

And since you know you're way off topic, maybe next time you might try STFU and try not posting. Thank you! :cheeky:

anyway a piece of info since i mentioned gear balancers in my previous post.

Gear Balancers

They are made of plastic. 2 circular pieces. one bigger than the other. u will know ur gear balancers are broken when u r riding and suddenly ur bike start to vibrate violently. no worries though. u DO NOT have to call a tow truck or wat. u can still ride although the journey will be very irritating. i did my gear balancers for 70 bucks or 120 bucks i cant really rem. thats inclusive of workmanship, engine oil etc etc. for the sounding, u can hear lots of rattling sounds around ur gearbox area. its normal coz ur broken plastics are playing around.

so in case any of u guys/gals happen to experiance the same thing, dun panic. hehe. ur bike's NOT spoilt neither is there anything to worry about.

Hmm...just a thought, correct me if I'm wrong please. But if your balancers get broken while you are riding, and I'm assuming that those balancers are made of some pretty tough material even if they're plastic, and you continue riding, isn't there a pretty big risk of your crankshaft and plastic bits colliding a lot and that it might even cause more damage? o_O

Also you don't want to be speculating that serious vibrations and funny noises is a nothing to worry about engine balancer prob... might be worse than that so best to ride on the safe side... or rather not ride on the safe side... you know what i mean...

well, the plastic is kinda big and it won't do any damage. it will just be 'swimming' in the engine oil. besides riding it to the motorshop or striaght home will not be a problem. i got my balancers broken a couple of times even went to jb to pump first before riding to motorshop. and the bike won't spoil so easily one la. tts y it's a racing bike. anyway up to individual. if u think u wanna ride to shop then do it. or if u think that u might do more damage then call tow truck lo. its ur bike. its ur call.

btw i have always felt that the y2k model was built to last. lotsa things happened to my y2k and amazingly besides getting disfigured, my baby did not suffer from cancer or fits besides teh occasional bouts of flu or morning sickness. but then i gave it up for adoption. damn..mistake man. coz it gave me 320km on a full tank. could have been my transport bike!!

wat u say is true. vibrations and funny noises need not necessarily mean that the problem is minimal. but then i am no mechanic. hehe. i am only telling wat i experianced before. and also when i had that problem, i got so worried and called my mechanic he told me nothing to worry about and asked me to ride back. i asked for a tow but he assured me that it's fine to ride. at first i tot tat my tyre got punctured coz thats how it will feel when ur gear balancers break. he then confirmed that his assumption was rite. broken gear balancers. after that i experianced that same trauma about 2-3 times. so just went back and got it changed. nothing happened to my crankshaft or any other part. anyway cant blame u for thinking that continuing to ride will cause other problems. coz it didnt happen to u before.

for example, let's say that u got a jammed valve and the ride is not smooth. u ask someone else and he says it's safe to ride. but u think otherwise and feel that it might lead to other problems. but ur fren had experiancied it a couple of times, tats y he decided that it's indeed safe to ride with a jammed valve.but u don't. get my point??

anyway better to play safe n call tow truck la. wait anythin happen to ur bike n u blame me!! haha

no worries! not the blaming sort! thanks for sharing!

Just wondering what shop is best for RS250 servicing and tuning? I am looking at buying one but a bit worried about maintenance costs and reliability as I haven't owned a 2stroke before.

How much roughly does it cost to overhaul engine?

How much to replace power valve and do these fail a lot or is it not so common?

What is the RS250 like for taking a pillion passenger?

due to the ever increase in petrol prices..

'd been using SPC 98 petrol recently..

also partially due to the extra 5% discount i'm able to get with eevry top up..

i realised that my mileage increases everytime i topped up my petrol...

have a usual FC of ard 17-18km/l when using V-Power previously..

i checked my FC on Sunday where we met for the gathering, it was almost 20km/l.. just this morning, i checked my FC again, it went up to 21km/l.. i dunno is it the petrol or wat..

i did a servicing and tuning on my carb 2 weeks ago.. no change of jet..

jus topped up V-Power this morning.. 1.7$/l

i'm starting to feel the pinch liao...

Maybe just better quality fuel?

Anyway I suppose the servicing costs and what not for the RS250 would not be any more than for ZXR400 or RVF would they?

I am thinking of buying the bike from kyoichi on these forums anyone know this bike can vouch for condition or who is very familiar with RS250 able to come check with me as I really only know 4 strokes.

If you all are serious abt saving $$... make the effort to go JB every 3 days. That's what I do.

Rain or shine, just go.

There, it's RM 1.41 per liter of 97RON.

Given the current exchange rate of RM2.34 to SGD1.00... per liter ~~ $0.60.

Ciggies there cost RM6.50 per pack of 20. ~~ $2.78

You make your choice. If you think you're too busy, or have no time, or are too lazy to cross customs, then you pay more than double in SG for the same thing.

Me? I take up to 1.5 hours of my time every 3/4 days to go JB or (if too jammed or bad timing) 2nd link, to get my fuel.

Especially 2nd link. I get to whack my bike to the max, and get cheap fuel.

Get that passport up, and your tank topped up.... and your wallet less empty.

mayb i'll try.. try to go once bi-weekly..
