i planing sunday morning 8+am or 11+am go in... pump petrol buy cig..

Frankly i don't mind the petrol consumption... For the power of the bike, i count myself lucky i'm not paying for $60-$80 full tank like i would if i were driving a car...

Most impt, go JB cos ciggies freaking expensive!!!

If u live in Jurong/Bukit Batok/Clementi area, then it's best you go 2nd link.

If you stay in AMK/CCK/Bukit Panjang/Woodlands/North area, go Woodlands.

If you stay Central/East side... Muahahahaahhaha.... Too bad....

if going on a weekday ,go in after 10...before that u get caught up in the jam, and if you find it troublesome to keep taking off and putting back on a full face, wear a half face helmet, you still have to take it off at singapore customes but its easier to take off and put back on.

Always be prepared.

Hi Chin Kuan,

Me definitely on - this Sunday, right? What did we agree on - 2pm? You're going with Galen some other day, right? But I think Lawrence and Ben should be on, though you'd better check with them. SMS them lah.

Dear all, i got a big problem....

my rs125 got problem starting the engine. i think is the battery problem. the meter shows 8.0V which is quite abnormal. normally is 12.0++V right. then when the bike is on the move the volt should be 13+ to 14+ volts right...but it shows 11.0+ v to 12.0+v

i charge the battery 3 days ago and is now flat liao..cannot start. the bikeshop ppl says that my battery leaking.ask me to change a new battery. i am still thinking what to do. cos the v first time i bought this bike already got this problem liao. change battery ard 4-5 mths ago then now cannot use liao.

i need your most valuable advise.thank you. =)

It may be a bad battery. You may or may not be able to recharge that battery again. Try and see. If not, then you have to get a new one.

If you get a new battery, ask them to check your rectifier too. Pls ask a trusted mechanic... not a salesman/carrot chopper/butcher/executor.

Your rectifier may be dead.... that's why not charging. Not surprising, seeing how my friend bought a brand new R6 and had the same problem as you 3 months down the road. He replaced it under warranty. Defective part you see. Can happen to anyone.

Yours is new? Still under warranty? Then go to the shop and get that rectifier replaced. Otherwise, you have to buy a new one. $$ out. Sad.

GALEN...i remember from the meet last sun, you were talking abt a flat spot ard 5k rpm, you told me that the newer rotax122 engines didn't have CDI restrict and the older rotax123 engine had it. I did some research and it is indeed the other way around, the older rotax123 didn't have CDI restrict and the newer rotax122 engine have it, that's why the flat spot ard 5k rpm onwards. I've included the link for u to read up on how to disable the restriction, should be useful info for more pple here i think...

U can try Race Werks at Alexandra Village (Bukit Merah). The mech, William (formerly Eugene Tan Sports), did servicing for some old AOC guys like Ah Tee, Hunter, Gucci, and me... to name a few.

He's honest and won't chop you. I was there recently and he has some RS250s in the shop too.

He's located in Alexandra Village... same row as Leong Seng, Southern Motors, Pang Scooter.... but all the way IN to the end. Last shop. Opens till 9pm... or later sometimes.

Call William at 90618554 n tell him 'Rudy' recommended him. He's a patient guy. But he's the solo mechanic there. He might need to order or check his stock of parts, so call first.

only a racing CDI can.. and only.. Chris has a racing CDI..

next time we shall test the effect of flatless spot RS 125..

  i have the same problem as u ... Exactly 100% the SAME...

i know my magnetic coil is weak not long after i bought my bike 7mths ago.. my mech did a re-route of the electric current ..pm me if u wan second hand parts from the scrapeyard , the boss qoute me $40 each for CDI and magnetic coil much cheaper than shops at least $100+ for second hand parts...

frankly speaking it could be batt, coil, retifier or cdi any one of these could be the culprit..

i lay up my bike for the time being too lazy to do anything cos exam coming .... for my case , i suspect its the batt cos last time i only need 2hr to charge using batt charger from emtpy to full power now it seems to take forever but still not full charge...

when u solve the problem pls let me know wat the faulty component cos i also need to do my repair in may

Just to double check with those that have fitted a arrow exhaust system.

After i have fitted a full arrow system(manifold & endcan) do i need to rejet my carb settings?(rotax 122 engine,y2k models) or should i leave it stock at 120(jet settings)?

And if i do change to a Dell orto 34mm carb, what is the recomended jet settings?(or at least what you guys change to?).

PS:Chris , i am definately changing my tyres this sunday, so.. give me a ring ya?

Ben:97828437.

Always be prepared.

if ya changed to arrow, definitely ya gotta rejet.. bigger or smaller and differences.. leaner will have more power but ya lose out on ya top end.. bigger jet will have betta top end but ya mid and low end will be a little sluggish.. the best advice is to strike a balance.. i don't if that is the case. anyone just correct me if i'm wrong..

if ya changing ya carb from 28 to 34.. ya jet wil be at least a 148.. meaning drink more petrol lah.. hahah

anyway, i'm currently using a Shark pipe with 34mm carb 148 jet.. my FC is ard 21km/l which is the best i have achieved so far..

i'm selling my carb.. pm me if ya interested..
