Hmm... same here, but diff trouble.

 

My Aprilia was the one that landed me in court, getting radar-ed at 48kph over the limit. 12 pts and $600 poorer.

Here's what I used to do.

 

Guitar goes into guit bag. Prefer those with double straps. Then wear it onto your back. It swings around right? No matter how tight you adjust, the guit will still move around, especially when you're riding.

 

There's a fix to that.

 

Guitar effects go into backpack. Deuter or whatever type. Just make sure it's long/big enough. Oh yeah.. I'm talking abt Multi-EFX... not stomp boxes.

 

Loosen the backpack straps so the bag can extend over guitar bag. Wear the backpack over the guitar bag and strap the backpack tighter until everything is secure.

 

Voila!

Downside of this is that the load on your back is SUPER HEAVY. With your body-forward riding position, when you reach the jam studio... you're already too shagged out to rock. :sweat:

 

Next is the guitar bag acting like a sail. Crosswind, you feel it. Go over 100kph, you feel it.

 

Besides... when riding with guit, I didn't go over 90. Was scared the windblast would catch the neck and warp it. My precious RG550LTD. o_O

I shudder at the though of the weight :giddy: Heh, and to think I was so gungho choosing dense, heavy woods for my guitars. So smart :faint: Good thing I'll just be transporting my axe between apartments, and maybe office - my gigging days are over, for now, at least. I refuse to be a crazy road warrior anymore. At least I don't have to worry about my guitar's neck warping - it has a 100% load-bearing carbon fiber spine.

 

If I ever become a regular guitar bike warrior, I think I'll go with something like a Honda ST1300 or Aprilia Atlantic :cheeky:

I just changed mine to the iridium ones. CR9EIx iridium ngk. cost 15bux per piece inclusive of installation. Opps this applies ONLY to 4 strokes. Sori....
