can u not put it like i am trying to attract attention..lol....i'm jus posting wadeva i feel at that moment. is that something wrong? wad about when we are purchasing bikes and we ask our frens test ride, thats as illegal as wad i did. and no..i am not trying to find trouble by posting it up..i jus wanted to express my excitement.

 

so chill dude, we all wanna have fun here in the forum. does it matter if we share our excitement?

 

or maybe i should jus keep quiet and read the "right" kind of post? something like... "oh, today before moving off the junction, i checked right and move off" come on, give me a break.

I was going to let this issue pass without comment, but...

 

speedkills, we have a community here. We watch out for one another, and at the same time try to create an environment that's supportive of our brothers and sisters having a safe but exciting time on their rides.

 

Part of this involves making sure that nobody intimidates others through stupid things like laughing at others for wearing full-face helmets and other riding gear.

 

It also involves not condoning stupid behavior. Riding around with neither a licence, nor insurance is stupid. We try whenever possible to be nice and friendly about reminders, but when people don't get the message, we've got no choice but to not mince words.

 

We simply see no reason to let you, by example, let people think it's completely cool to do what you do. We also don't see why we should attract any legal liability because of your lack of discretion.

 

If that's uptight to you, then you've got a lot of growing up to do. While I do happen to be older than most of the people in this thread, maturity is not about the number of years you have. It's about knowing how to behave in a community like ours. Do whatever you like, as long as it doesn't hurt others. What's that? Most things you do outside your own bedroom have consequences for others? Tough, that's life.

 

I'm not an old-timer in the ARC. Eyz, servo, Law, etc, are. They get respect not because of their status as old-timers but because they've been consistently helpful, receptive of criticism, and mature community members. If you can swallow all of this like a man, without getting touchy, then one of these days you'll be a respected old-timer too. I seriously doubt you'll get any respect otherwise.

 

You'll notice that the old-timers know how to have a good time too, and there's plenty of jokes and nonsense flying around. But it's all harmless fun. There's a line between fun and stupidity.

I can understand where you're coming from, having been an 18 year old myself, not too long ago.

 

I must say that yes, doing something clearly wrong is indeed thrilling, but its my responsibility to advise you to wait till you get your license sorted before putting yourself at risk of being charged for riding without one. I believe you'll be a lot sadder to be banned from riding even before getting your Class 2B, than to wait a while longer before you can ride legally.

 

We may outrightly condemn your rash actions, but please understand why. We have long realised that its always wiser to be on the right side of the law (hence the ratio of existing Arrows over other non-legal pipes). You're fine now, great. What a stroke of luck. Let's not tempt fate again. Because you'll never know when you'll get stopped at the next turn 20metres away from home.

When you do get your license, we'll be able to have one more rider to join us for meet ups and midnight kopi sessions, and not meet up and talk about you as another statistic. You may grow up one day and look back and regret on not making the right choice today. We want to save you that flash of foolishness 5 yrs down the road.

Hur hur... sorry im kinda lame. Nah... try to ask your mech to tune your bike to run rich(not too rich),apparently what my mech told me that it's better for those using milo kongs to tune it rich as you need more torque in low-mid range as you would not be able to use your high end range.

btw: Got a friend selling a 2 yr old SUPER-LOW mileage (about 3k km) Tuono (1000cc). It's got a full Akropovic system on it including chip but it's got some battle scars from a lowside at PG. (it's only been to PG once and was dropped in the first few laps)

well to me just think of nothing else but the rule on wat the school teach u, dun even think that u r taking tp cos it will make u nervous, remember where the TP will be station, so that when closing them u can "act" as if u r very firm on the bike,

snow, do u have the specs for the bitubo... bitubo shows that they does not have a specific rear shock for the rs250...

are you going to order from a local source or?
