I've just been out and about on a shock hunt.

 

Checked out Teck Thye coz I heard that they might be able to rebuild RS125 shocks but no luck there. David there said he has an aftermarket (Thai) shock which is reasonable for $180.

 

Most ppl know LAB offer a cheap, Thai made shock for about $65 which is pretty useless (about as good as the original unit once it's already spoilt)

 

I'm wondering if the shock TT is selling is the same unit as LAB's. Anyway he doesn't have any in stock and will only order with a a deposit so I can't check to confrim if it's the same or a different unit.

 

I went to First Motor and checked out the WP shock there. Looks ok but $550 seems a little on the steep side.

 

Spoke to another person who said there is a biturbo model avail which should be around $180 or so but I can't find a supplier.

 

Does the RS250 shock fit into an RS125? If so I think this is the best option as they are adjustable and rebuildable and should be avail 2nd hand on the net.

I understand your point about catching up with those in front.. But at whose's expense? I like you, dont know the way.. The minute you zoom infront.. catch up with the lead.. all three of you zoom away.. leaving me stranded.. I had to do all sort of stunts to catch up..

 

I was keeping Andrew in my sights.. You, by overtaking me.. basically screwed up everything.. How the hell is he going to check on me if you are blocking? he's just going to assume that I'm right behind you when i'm not.. I'm not a big fan of filtering, but i was forced to.. to catch up with you guys..

 

For Godsakes, it was raining.. Why was ride so fast?

 

Anyone want to say I'm slow, I'll admit it.. But i cant help it.. My bike is in a condition where i cant push my luck.. Pls try to be understanding..

 

The purpose of going out in a group is not to go speeding and actioning.. I hate that sh*t.. We go as a group, come back as one.. especially when we are learning the route.. we should stick together..

 

I'm been advised to be more accomadating to to different ppl's riding style.. I'll try.. I'll keep quiet.. But the minute any idiot endangers my safety with his stupid stunts.. That's it...

I think you should be ablt to order Bitubo shocks from Lawrence.. But i dont think they retail at such a cheap price..

 

Can you elaborate on why you found the WP shock too ex? If I'm not wrong, some of them cost anywhere from 700 - 1200 bucks 1st hand..

From what I was told today (from 3 different ppl) they shouldn't be that expensive new and there are actually lots of them lying around in workshops and on unused bikes in Singapore.

 

Anyway, I've asked one of these guys to have a hunt around for me. Guess I will wait and see what comes of it.

Bro at 550 for a WP shox like that, its a steal. Try asking how much it is brand new. Or Y not u sit on law's bike and test out the WP there which was once mine...Im sure u wont regret unless u didnt know that law's bike had a WP. hehe

 

If you dont mind the wait then you can probably run in ur bike well hopefully when ure done, u would have found a shox. But if I were u..... hmmmm I'd bargain...cant go wrong for sgd$400 plus.

cmon la small matter no need to blow it up.. i told u oreadi go out juz make sure u can see the person in front regardless hu y need to hu 1st hu 2nd hu 3rd? at most if u folo the 1 in front he gets u lost he takes the sh*t 1 oso not ur prob.. n u noe me when it rains i wanna get to my destination the fastest tt i can but definitely not at the expense of my safety meaning i go fast but i make sure i either plan an alternative route in case the driver in front pulls a stunt off..

today's track day got a few casualty... muser fell at the chicane... my friend who just bought his cbr600 05 model overshot turn 1 twice and high sided at turn 3... expensive lesson to learn man... i didn't do much riding cos was jetting the damn bike....
