for the track.. hm... got uncle with pot belly also can tahan a lot of rounds... must adapt to riding fast and when u r comfortable with yr speed u will tend to relax more so u can tahan more rounds.... newbie always tents up their muscles...

well i go very often till i got my new 250... had some probs with it so never really play on the track... now it seems to be running ok but not perfect yet.. hee... this sunday we'll see how it goes in the 5 lap race if i were to join..

hi guys... juz wana asked... is there really a new RS250??... coz i went to redhill the industrial park there... there's this shop beside southern motors near the market dat side... got this motor tiam selling RS250 FX plate for $9.8k.. shop said its very new.. only had 1 owner b4.. so juz wana noe... if its really true, n if yes, worth it or not... please give very neutral views... k??

y? u wanna buy? i believe i know that bike owner... well of cos there r new 250s... mah is selling them wat... 2 years already i think... worth or not is really up to u to decide... i have been riding a rs250 for 3 over years and one of my friend at least 5 year... so u decide if its worth it anot...

I think nobody really answered your question... RS250 has 2 main version. 1995-97 (the 'old' version) and the 1998-2002 version (the 'new' version). How to tell? Very smple, the new version has a sharp, bee like tail. ALthough both uses the same engine, the new one has better front/rear shocks and stuff like digital speedo.

 

Worth it or not...hard to say. Most people will say Aprilia was never worth it. Aprilia riders keep overhauling their bikes and still keep it. Up to you.

Anyway, do you know of a method to test 2nd hand shocks other than fitting them to a bike? can't exactly compress them by hand and test the rebound.

 

can compress them by hand provided the springs are removed first.

watch david rebuild the sachs unit and he always shows me how the actuator behaves before and after rebuilding.

basically before rebuild the actuator does not reacts to whatever is selected.

but after the rebuild the compression and rebound features are so obvious!

impressive coz u really sees the difference...thats why i keep going back to him.

 

Axxis, why not get the unit from snow or me and brings it for rebuilt yourself??

its cheaper by 100 bucks and you have the added satisfaction of knowing that the unit is truly reconditioned.

Actually that is cheap.. Cost price was around 1 Million plus.. and when owner bought it 2nd hand it was more than 800K..

 

I'd like to see any bike outrun this baby...

 

Btw, left hand can, or u can always change it to right hand..

Hi guys! Hey, my rear shocks are totally stiffened up! Apparently, Ah boon from Ideal tells me that I need to change it. But u reckon that I could get it reconditioned? BTW, what's the dif btwn getting it rebuilt and reconditioned?
