Geez, just came back from servicing my clutch from first motor

 

Sorry guys, it seems I can't join u all every week coz i'm always repairing something...and motordiams dun open on sunday and my work ends qutie late....hehe

 

But then again, I finally fixed my clutch rubbing noise

Feels much better when accelerating from traffic lites liao

 

But something to note is that I was actually advised by a staff to change the clutch bowl which he quote $500 at this I***L. When i say that its too ex he like totally sian 1/2....

 

Yet I can get this problem fixed by simply changning the clutch plates for less than half the price at first motor,

 

Sighs....totally make me lose confidence in that shop sia...

 

Anyway guys, do try rock oil gro gear oil for your gearboxes

put liao gear damn smooth

it's illegal to use a rs pipe illegally...

but it's legal if you use it legally...

ok.. it means if you want to use it legally, you have to get approval from LTA...

and how to do that?? you can ask stingrhea to find more about it...

FW and later RS125 come with the small RS pipe, it is legal for those new models to have the small pipe

 

But you cannot install the small pipes on your pre-fw bikes, it is considered illegal

 

The idea of legalising the small pipe on all rs125s have been discussed quite some time ago alraedy. Basically you need to show some proof that the emission of the small pipe will emit exhaust that comply with the standards and that it will have no adverse effect on your bike.

 

All this documents are only available from Aprilia themselves and perhaps MAH has it when they legalised the small pipe for the FW and above RS125s.

 

You can try to contact MAH motors, but chances are highly unlikely. Good luck

why do i say unlikely?

 

If you are a distributor for Aprilia, then you release documents so that people can get the small pipe, who will buy a new bike? Isn't that the same as pointing a gun at yourself?

 

But then again, there is always hope. I reckon after about 3-4 years when half the aprilias on the road come with small pipes, chances are far greater

Walau!! like tat replica '97/98 model cannot change slim pipe ar? ..sianz ar like tat..bike very nice but pipe make it looks spoil..

 

u sure can use the y2k rs125 pipe on a replica 97/98 model? cos i gonna take my TP in a few days time n i wanna buy rs125 leh..

anyway the 5k-6k rpm restriction is a built in restriction to pass emissions testing, so whenever u hit that rpm band, u'd find that the bike goes chug chug chug and refuse to go any faster - it only happens if u rev the throttle hard, if u go smooth u won't usually find it.

 

but since ur running-in the bike now, u shdln't be doing anythinga bove 6k rpm so dont' sweat it at the moment, once u run-in u'll prob know what i mean

 

anyway how's ur bike's temp? mine easily goes up to 90 in heavy traffic.

oh ok, had to tune the idling quite a bit after i got the bike to prevent fr power cut off. yep still running in. my temp in moderate traffic abt 87 so it's abt the same as urs. do u know what kind of mirrors will suit our bike? want to get after mkt just in case if i drop it and break it. not sure abt orginal spare parts. hehe maybe if i c another tuono on the road, it could be u

well for mirrors don't really have much luck finding aftermarket, can try the chiong ones the planet uses, but i doubt it will be wide enough like how our current ones are.

 

hey aprilia guys, my gear oil seems to keep overflowing out the overflow tube and its the level is now just pass the halfway mark of the glass window, do i hav a problem? guess i'd be topping up soon, what gear oil u guys use? rockoil lgo ok?
