Maybe the bike is sitting at Ideal but for sale by the owner??? hmmm....

Seems VERY cheap and that always makes ppl sus. FY plate should be 2003/2004 I believe.

 

WP suspension? Quick... I'll go raid the bike for parts.

Does the noise level reduce when you pull in the clutch lever? If so there are some bushings in your clutch basket which need replacing periodically I believe but you will have to ask the experts around here. These seems to make quite a difference to the rattling sounds made when the bike is idling away at the lights. I find my bike is quieter once warmed up.

i tried clutchin in and letting go the clutch and when its clutched in its much more quiet and when i never clutch in and just leave the bike idle in neutral, its much noiser, what seems to be the problem?

Anyway, I'm probably going over there tomorrow to take my bike to get the legal arrow fitted. Will check it out while there. I'm wondering if it's the race bike that's sitting there. But I didn't think that was road registered or even legal.

It's basically the clutch basket assembly rattling around. Italian bikes are well known for this (Ducati's also). I believe there is a bushing in there which can be replaced and it will quieten it down a bit although it will still be noisy if your clutch basket and plates are a worn. Don't worry too much about the noise until you've compared it with a few other RS's. If it's alot louder then maybe it's time to open it up and take a look.

I doubt that that's the bike he's talking about chris. For one, even it was registered for road use i dun think it's a FY plater

Went to Police Cantonment Complex earlier today and saw an RS125 parked next to a silver-coloured Krr at the outdoor parking lot. If memory serves, there was a redbull sticker(?) plastered on the right hand side of the tank. FW plate..Just out of sheer curiosity, does it belong to any of you guys here?

I have a ARROW full system for RS Aprilla 125. Its a non-legal pipe but fully tong... Its in quite a mint condition as it has been left in my store for some time. I duon't have a digital camera but got this photo from the internet that look similar. But mine is not so good condition like the one in the picture huh. is not a FY plate leh .... to realise is a FV ........ erm i already bought the bike . its from IDEAL .. its a 3 yr bike ... they told mi they actually mob the bike for track but donno y den didn't go so the bike is new somemore wor ... my friend use to ride aprilla went with mi to see 1 .. he say gd buy den ok loh ... when get bike liao will try to meet u guys loh den u all see worth it o not ??? can ... hehee thanks

I just went down to Mah this afternoon and was told that the 05 RS125 was finally out. They were unloading when I was there. The price was like 1K more than the 03 model. And was told that they will be selling the 03 model cheaper (by few K?).

hai... wat's the point of telling whether is it worth it when ya'd bought d bike??

 

i guess ya bought tat bike for track use, rite??

 

from wat i know.. if i remember correctly.. tat bike is really for track use.. the over size radiator, partly sawn off swing arm and fabricated metal tail piece (damn i was thinkin for 15 mins wat d term for it, jus can't remember it)

 

hope Ideal gave ya everythin stock.. if not, at least the swing arm..

 

sorry if i'm being umm harsh... hope ya get a good ride wif d bike
